Muse On Fame
honestly, the story is incredibly complex masterpiece of work. i did not expect to start from a simple cheating couple scenario to what the story ended up unfolding until talking about happiness and even bringing into the series the topic of osamu dazai is no longer human in the feeling of alienation and loneliness. i feel like the message. the story is trying to share is incredibly deep and there were very dark moments here and moments where i even felt related to the story and connected with the characters. there are no simple two characters here and everyone is humanistic and that’s probably what makes the story so bleak and gloomy as it portrays the highs and lows the negative and the positives of life. it’s a realistic story in terms of manhwa standards and the world but at the same time, it’s gut wrenching and makes one incredibly uncomfortable due to how hard it hits. i just came here seeking for a short story next thing you know i am hooked onto the story, always waiting for the next chapter to see how the plot unfolds with introduction of every new character and myeong’s development as a character and as a person. not only she relatable, but even the antagonist of the story is also relatable. even when i tried to hate them, you can’t because of how human they are and how morally grey all of their back stories are because that’s real life. the story turned out to be much more complex and deep than i expected it to be, but i didn’t expect to even be able to form a connection with the characters in the way that i did. it’s ironic how it’s from a manhwa i’m seeing a visual representation of some of the messages you see online talking about happiness, fulfillment about how to lead one’s life and surprisingly i actually feel like they can be true. you can be happy without achieving your dreams. and the idealized form. i never thought it could be possible. but the father daughter chapter really left me sobbing because because of how close it hit home.
