His friend is very pretty and - guy ends up confessing to the friend (they go to an all boys school) which riles the mc up and he ends up asking out his friend who says yes?? I think the mc had purple hair and the other guy had blonde hair, but I could be wrong? Any help is appreciated!

It was about this girl who's abusive mother made her get married in order to kill her husband, and if she doesn't kill him, she'll get cursed and die or something like that.
