I'm really really glad I read this when I was older. When I was 13 I tried reading like a few chapters but I dropped it cause I didn't like the whole dead ex trope and stuff and just forgot about it. If I read it when I was younger, I don't think I would be able to grasp that and would probably shit on this manga for being too unnecessarily complicated. I could get all deep about this but basically I think it was supposed to be complicated because relationships are complicated. Also there were a lot of banger lessons/quotes in this manga that really resonated especially in the second half. I don't think this is for everyone though. It is a romance, but I def view it as more of a coming of age/yano's healing process.
i think the best part of this manga was that I really noticed just how young they were when they got so deep into their relationship. They were just kids who made stupid kid decisions and it affected the outcome of their relationships 5 years into the future.
Just again I think it just depends on your perspective and if you'd like it or not. I would've liked it no matter what happened to Nana's romantic relationships because I just wanted everyone to be happy.
I'm seriously glad that there are people out here who still enjoy this manga. This is genuinely a masterpiece. I loved it when I was younger, I was only 9 when I originally read this, but now as an adult I fully grasp the emotions the characters went through. It's as if I grew alongside the characters, being emotionally driven as a kid and now as an adult being able to make logical decisions.
Ahhh I really enjoy this couple. I actually really both leads, which is a rare occasion when it comes to shoujo because either the female lead is too annoying or the male lead is too mean. Abigail is probably my favorite kind of female lead. I think they handled the trauma talk well and I like how his recovery process seems realistic and how he's not just suddenly "okay!" because the female lead came into his life like I've seen other manga do. Not to mention BLANCHE IS ADORABLEEEEE!
Another thing I like about Abigail is based on something I read is just because she reincarnates into the former self's body she doesn't automatically think of herself as pretty or an outstanding individual.Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
This is partially due to her previous life she was CONSTANTLY berated and ridiculed for her looks even when in a new body she still maintains that mindset and according to something someone said in a spoiler it takes her time to overcome it. ╥﹏╥ (/TДT)/
I mean on a side note it kind of is funny when in most manhuas and manhwas when the mc reincarnates into a new body and they are like "wow! I look so pretty!"(⌒▽⌒)
But I think in this story the author handles it realistically because even if one's looks change if one has been ridiculed for their looks their mindset is not going to change just because their body is different.( ̄ー ̄ )It's interesting and heartwarming to see both the ml and mc have these inner fears or challenges they need to face.
And by opening up to each other it helps both to heal and become better people, and more of family as a result because of it.(▰˘◡˘▰)
This made me want to kill myself but in a good way!! I loved the friends to lovers and their relationship made me want to repeatedly bash my head against the wall cos they were so cute. Their relationship felt very realistic too and how the honeymoon phase doesn’t last forever
