Idling it’s just me, but I feel like I these types of anime is there’s a cold and ruthless male character everyone calls him badass, but if there’s a cold and ruthless female she’s called a bitch? When we met that new character I thought she was super interesting but I went to the comments and everyone is saying she’s a bitch. Like-
If you're talking about the new blue haired girl, then it's not a matter of misogyny but because she's actually a villainous bitch that played a large role in killing our MCs brother.
Not a spoiler, since I'm not 100% certain but: In earlier chapters, it was mentioned that his brother trusted a girl from his party while he was climbing the tower. They started dating and everything; And when he was attacked, he put his faith in this girl to watch his back (along with a couple other "friends") only for her to *literally stab him in the back*. They mentioned that she stabbed him through the heart, but that could have been literal or metaphorical and poetical exaggeration.
I was under the impression that that girl is the one we've met in recent chapters, but I could be wrong.
The fact remains that she is a villain, intent on using the MC for her own gain and in a way that negatively affects him (as shown in this past chapter).
But yeah, I get what you mean in some other works about the misogyny. I just don't think it's appeared in this work (yet?).
Should I name like 5+ webtoons that has female MCs that are cold and ruthless that are more favored than the delicate soft ones? This isnt misogynistic stereotyping since that was his character in the first place and not all males characters in the story is like him either.
In the case of the girl, people are calling her bitch not for her personality (yet maybe?) But because its a clear hint that she's a villain /antagonist. Its more of saying she's a bitch bc she's about to be a antagonist rather than just being a bitch just cus she's cold and ruthless .
Who knows she might be a bad bitch that could be awesome if she'd just be part of the good team.
