It may not be tagged with romance but it could still have romance in it, I've come across a few manhwas that are like that.
Usually, the reason why those types of manhwa don't actually have the romance tag is because there's just such minimal romance that they don't add it.
That being said I reeeeally don't want there to be any sort of romance in this, it just doesn't need it. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I could be wrong, but I think only Lawrence, her brother, is the son of the emperor. Tia is the daughter of the marquis.
The emperor is cedric’s maternal nephew but is not blood related to tia at all. He’s kinda like her stepfather except the emperor is not legally married to her mother.

And the rumor exists because adultery is badly seen in their country and tia's mother is the emperors mistress. And her personality doesn't make it better, so she's considered a bitch and no one respects her

Seems the novels aren't always followed 100% to the manga... I seem to remember that Tia's mother was married off to the marquis as he didn't have other family, and Tia is the heir to the Marquisate and was widely recognized as being his actual daughter as opposed to Lawrence. anyway....
It’s been awhile so I could be wrong. There was a chapter in the manhwa where Tia visits an old Butler of the Rozan’s who was wrongfully framed by Miraella(?). It was revealed that Miraella poisoned/killed all of the Rozan family members to ensure Tia’s position as heir apparent
