oof from spoilers, ml kind of sucks??? mc isn't in love with ml (he actually hates him), but ml falls in love later. at first, ml wanted revenge(?) and mess around with mc bc mc left the game(??, so ml was going to have mc depend on him alone, then disappear on mc bc he knows mc is a lonely person, so ml saw him as "easy". the love goes by pretty fast on ml's part, but not sure about mc since there's literally not much, but overall it's supposed to be cute.

ml loves lizzie (you can't really blame him for being forced to marry his WAR ENEMY and not caring about fl) whom (yep) is a white lotus bc she's the author of the novel whom possessed the original lizzie; ml ultimately starts caring for fl when he finds out about her family's abuse, etc. fl was kidnapped along with the duchess and lizzie during the war by her own brother(?) and was abandoned when the other two escaped. fl was physically tortured and eventually escaped due to a mercenary who took pity on her then gifted him her necklace from ml(?). when fl was found she was treated as a traitor bc of lizzie's lies but ml trusted her and didn't excuse anybody's actions of not looking for her (here, he professes his love for fl). edith (fl's body) reincarnated 13 times with different souls whilst lizzie kills her successfully every lifetime and tries to do so again in this timeline. she tells ml she has been reincarnated and ml regrets his actions and not being able to protect her.

extra: the ml was the first to suspect lizzie's evil actions and to be on fl's side. he and everybody else aside from mc are being controlled by lizzie (author) bc she has plot armor and general mary sue type powers; she takes their free wills (including cliff) to make them "flat" characters to cater to her perfect story. it's then shown when he's "released" from lizzie, his original personality comes out and he's actually very shy and playful.

it's a happy ending. lizzie goes to prison bc she becomes mentally unstable, cliff (lizzie's love interest) remarries somebody else, ml and fl are said to have 2-3 kids. there is a TON of abuse and hurt for fl with ml comforting and saving her before the good things arrive. this is a SLOW fucking burn, and y'all are so used to mls and fls fucking on the first few chapters.

anyway, let's stop hating on mls bc he's in love with someone else other than the fl especially when he's being emotionally controlled jfc. they're allowed to have feelings for, y'know, not the fl.

men can't have trauma and be weak, seems like. y'all are gross. the amount of times women have trauma and "can't confess" and get their slow burn romance you call them strong and like the development of their character arc. when it's a man, he shouldn't be tied to trauma or have feelings of insecurity? do better in your life if you think this way.
