prev timeline: mc gets hanged, mother tracks down the father (her ex?) to kill him, ml died young, and the mother was burned.

silver is ml and he's being physically abused by his mother to which mc figures out later. ml continues with the abuse bc he thinks it's a way to make her(his mother) feel better. the mc's mother and emperor are in love, it's very mutual, and he also loves mc as his daughter. there are no romantic feelings between mc and emperor's nephew and they have a great sibling bond. apparently emperor steps down to live with mc's mother in the outskirts of town in the end.

apparently mc forgives the emperor because shit happened and emperor actually loves her as his daughter? even begging her on his knees to stay considering she actually wanted to salvage their relationship. in the end, they send letters to keep up to date with each other (+ but mc never gets them bc her bio father hides them). overall, it's supposed to be a happy ending. and of course, as always our favorite, the real princess is a white lotus bc she's possessed(?) by an isekai-er whom turns out to be the author of the novel-fanfic (the current world they're in), however the original princess is good and gets her body back by the end. very confusing.
