I thought she was gonna hide from him? Protect her family to prevent them from getting involved in the succession war and all that so why is she just casually talking to him and blushing instead of being more on guard???

    Like she made such a fuss to quit the the knights and bring all her extended family into her manor to be under the shield so they couldn’t be harmed and yet she’s just walking around without a care

    Have you ever had very complex emotions of interest towards someone?…. Like girl they KEEP explaining WHY she’s neutral in the grand scheme of things because well she’s selfish…literally only cares about her family and that’s VALID based off the background of her old life….she’s struggling internally but that’s what makes this a good read….how do they find love in the midst of chaos
