I mean they all have serious issues like mikasa trying to hold onto her only constants in life (eren, armin and the 104th squad)and trying to be the shield for everyone so that no one else is taken from her, and then there is Reiner with his dissociative identity disorder and depression whose had enough of everything and everyone, there is also armin with his depression and suicidal tendencies thinking he is never enough when he’s done more than anyone else and it doesn’t help that they keep comparing him to Erwin because he knows more than anyone else what other feels towards him because he himself thinks he’s a mistake, there is also Jean which just wants the fighting to end he just wants peace and happiness he doesn’t want to be anymore doesn’t want to be involved in all the massacres and killing and torturing, and poor Connie who lost his other half, half of his fucking soul they were twins and is forced to watch his mom be the thing they swore to kill, being so close yet so far, and fucking Historia as well carrying that heavy duty of being queen, baring a child she didn’t want and losing Ymir and never being enough for her parents who only used her in the end. Honestly I just hope they find peace be it in life or death

I think you're comparing the story to closely to the other bls you read. Not all characters development had to be a complete 180 for a character. Honestly if the main couple omega (Hyesung) were to dramatically change the story would get boring.. we saw him be able to be more vulnerable with his partner and admit his feelings that was a big adjustment to his overall character. I honestly like all the couples and their different dynamics it makes the story less cliche and unpredictable. It clearly seperates this story from the others. Chowon can be a difficult person but u like watching kyungsoo figure out how to make their relationship work

May I chip in on your conversation? I found it fitting that the mc omega was a math genious and crap at everything else. It fits in his all in all an unbalanced human and a misfit. His stats aren't balanced for an omega. He is not close to a beta although he is a recessive one. It is one of his main characteristics- unbalanced and a misfit. And one of his main sourses of conflict. He is a math genious, but crapy at basic human logic, for example. And it did help him get some independence. Because of math he went to school again and also got new friends. For some time this part of life was his own, private from the alpha.

I saw this video where they explained what the manga is about which is... I don’t remember but what I’m trying to say is that Zeke represents the idea that life is meaningless, Eren represents the freedom that gives life meaning and that freedom is the idea that you can do and should be able to do what you desire/ what you want no matter the cost or at the expenses of others in other words “morals” don’t matter, ex: if you feel the desire or want to kill someone you should be able to because should have the freedom to do it again just an example and armin represents that life is meaningless but those fleeting happy moments we have make it worth living once again I saw this on a video don’t remember so none of this actually comes from me it’s what I vaguely remember anyways I wish I could share the video because it really is pretty cool (credits to the video)

Is Mikasa actually in love with Eren? Or is it a forced love where she felt she owed Eren something or felt like she had to devote herself to him in order to repay him?
