Given the current situation, the team is pretty much a puppet on strings.
The red haired guy does NOT want to let them go, hence he staged trouble so they need to have 'payment' to deal with (aka a new mission to work on for Red Head).
And given they are mafia; this will not ever end unless the team is useless.
They need another way to get out and I very much hope that our main bean is somehow gonna be key to it. Since in the previous chapter he mentioned in a really sad way that he was finally useful to someone, even if it's his kidnappers.
That last thing however makes me worried that MAYBE at some point in the story, he will accept a suicide mission. Because THAT would be the ultimate 'helpful' to them, since none of them would get hurt and he doesn't care much for himself either...

Besides my discovery as to why Guwon looks so weird to me (his torso is literally the shape of a light bulb, you're welcome for that mental image), I think I might have noticed why he threw up, why he has insomnia, etc..
If he is THIS happy about being told he's wrong, but preciously was shocked at the exclamation of it: Chances are that he might throw up, have insomnia, go borderline insane BECAUSE deep down he is aware things aren't right, but he was told it was, so he abides by the previous teachings.
This could explain all the strange things going on with him. The insomnia, the throwing up, forgotten past and even the smiling and crying while harming himself.
And now I'm even more suspicious about who the Hounds are.
My theory of him not being human still remains, but this is I think an interesting aspect to keep in mind too. Which makes the MCs role in this story even grander than ever: Because he CAN fix things and turn things for the better by teaching Guwon properly.

This is why I use the internet! Thank youuuu god, like i get people are upset at the fact that hes utterly insane but he doesn’t have his memories for a reason no? I think he experienced a mass amount of abuse to the point where he was medically made to forget or the trauma forced him to forget (maybe whats happening to the teach too with the knife) and some of those teachings have passed on to the current where thats what he physically knows as “right” but because of the teach showing him an interpersonal compassion hes beginning to reflect on his actions, slowly but surely. Uguguggu im so hyped for this manga vro

Oh, I love your idea! I was also considering trauma that made him forget everything since the mind thinks: Nah, not dealing with THIS stuff, cya!
But I still have the theory he isn't even human, and we DID see him emerge from rubble, so maybe he really just got a hit to the head and had only basic, strange, non-human standards and went by those. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Part of me hopes we get ACTUAL greek mythology thrown our way and his loss of memory is related to drinking from/falling into the river Lethe (the river of forgetfullness/loss of memory/unmindfullness). And I somehow hope he legit is Sisyphus (which would explain the moon scene, since it looks like the bolder he was supposed to roll.)
I'm hyped too~. I just hope we actually GET a good and grand reason instead of it being something lukewarm and boring. Or nonsensical. That's the downside of theorizing; you can get majorly disappointed if the author doesn't put in effort in the end. XD

I swear, authors need to stop making some of THE best stories just a oneshot, GAAAAAHHHH! I need MORE! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Seriously tho, the characters are endearing and good based on the simply impression we could get. I would have loved to see them actually have a full story. The main character seems charming and the ML like the bold type I love to see in power imbalance dynamics (bold and taking the lead but not a domineering jackass). Love to see it!
The art is great and the writing seems rather good. So it's another wasted full story in a oneshot. But hey, it DOES work so well as a oneshot, I gotta say! XD
Definitely worht a quick read.

Before I start the review, I have to say this is likely an important note for people to understand the story, in case they don't/focus on the wrong things of this comic.
This is NOT a romance, there just happen to be minor elements of that to the story. This is a DARK power fantasy renvenge comic to it's very core and as the heavy main focus.
If this is something you cannot relate to, understand or appreciate, you're better off bailing and reading something else. Revenge in equally vile ways to the crimes is the focus of this comic, nothing else.
That being said. Review time! Feel free to read for some insight maybe or some pointers for understanding wtf this comic is about.
I know this isn't finished yet but: This is shockingly well done in many ways.
It does have it's flaws (of not explaining how tf Shira even manages to plan everything so well, for example) but all in all the writing is uncomfortably good. Making me wonder if the author hasn't only studied cases of abuse about kids in schools, folled media cases, but maybe was somehow involved or observed this in school themselves. Which worries me given the nature of this comic being: Dishing out brutal punishments to abusers.
The author manages not only to portray the criminals in a perfectly horrible way (and basically realistic too, since these types of people DO exist irl in rare cases), but also makes it clear not to glorify Shira since he's clearly a nutjob himself with the way he's drawn in many panels. Yet one you can cheer for and support at the same time, despite his cruel nature because the criminals at hand DO deserve the vilest things.
As for the victims, the author seems to have done a really good job portraying their individual struggle/aftermath of whatever type of abuse took place. Same as with the criminals; they ARE actually portrayed with realistic behavior/reason. Which makes them all the more hate-able. That teacher bitch talking to the MC the way she did was a good example for this. Abusers DO target abused victims because they think keeping them quiet is so much easier.
The characters, no matter if the good ones or bad ones, are portrayed in detail and with reason, each with their own individual ones you would ACTUALLY hear from real criminals irl. (If you watch too much true crime, you'll know some of their reasoning or excuses.)
I can tell many readers don't quite understand what this comic is actually focusing on or what it's trying to do, but i for one can very much appreciate it's dark theme and dark 'happy ending' to each problem. Abused people can get a dark and vile mind and I'd reckon: THIS is what many of them would wish onto their abusers. It would satisfy them and make them happy.
So in that sense, this comic could be called a power fanatasy for the abused, victims of vile crimes and those abandoned by any people around that could have helped them.
It's certainly not for everybody and it's not supposed to be a comfortable read in many ways, but I personally think it's a good story for what it is. It has it's flaws but that just drives it more home that this is a revenge fantasy, purely focused on making the revenge happen in somehwat realistic 'movie ways', you can call it, while not shying away from showing the crimes and victims before we get to that. Since sadly that is needed for even the vilest revenge to be satisfying.
A real rollercoaster of utmost discomfort and satisfaction, in a way.

This is a hilarious story and well written too! I just love it! XD
The MC is such a perfect, chaotic portrayal of someone socially awkward (not the introvert type tho). So it makes for a fun read with that alone. But the love interest Sakaki is incredibly charming and lovely too, he truly acts like a person, fully understanding and giving leeway to an awkward moment and not taking it as whatever akward mess just happened. He knows the struggle of the MC and understands to let him gather himself and explain, so seeing someone as accepting and as understanding as him interact with an awkward mess like the MC is just really a treat in many ways. <3
I think it could have done better with a bit more info on Sakaki, I would have loved getting to know him some more, he's interesting. But it is a good read regardless, tho way too quick: I need 10 more chapters of these precious dorks!
Definitely recommended for someone looking for a simple, funny read with a cute little romance attached. Give it a try, I don't think you'll regret it. :)

1st paragraph = Opinion and observation of 1st story
2nd paragraph = review of 2nd story
I know Tsuda is supposed to be portrayed as a dense motherfucker of a seme, but he seems WILLFULLY stupid at many times. This is what makes him so obnoxious.
If the translations aren't off, he really isn't a well-written character in terms of a steady baseline behavior.
He's just not likable.
I'm skipping the entire volume thanks to him and the general writing issues here and there (jumping around in point of view, skipping happneings a character started and not coming back to it/leaving it dealt with lukewarm, etc.). He just makes reading a chore and the writing is somehow unappealing. So I have no idea and no interest tbh if the writing or such changes for the better. So keep that in mind.
Granted, the entire story is basically just a big back and forth misunderstanding + dragging it out trope mixture, so that too is NOT a likable setup and worth skipping for those that are fed up with this nonsense. Which I sure am after nearly 2 decades of seeing this be done in the BL industry. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
The second couple is MUCH more likable. Especially Saeki. Yet again proving the fact some side couples should have been the main focus instead.
Even just the way the story starts is done so much better. The writing seems to have a way different flow and seems more cohesive in a way. Which makes me wonder why the first story was such a weird mess.
The romance is a bit of the stereotypical, simple kind but it's still done well and not as random as I thought it'd be. Still has a bit of writing issues in a tiny manner here and there but it's decently done. And despite being somewhat stereotypical in terms of 'sudden love' plot devices being used, it's an enjoyable read.

Dropping this at the first chapter. There is nothing remotely likable or redeemable about the seme.
The MC is a doormat, I could accept that. But the love interest is an absolute obnoxious piece of shit and I do NOT care to see how it's twisted into a love story.
Can't stand even one panel with him tbh. He's not the typical cheeky superior who bullies out of love, he's a power abusing jackass with a shit personality. Nothing of interest to be seen with this character.
I'm not wasting time with dislikable characters who don't even have 1% of 'he may be a good guy' vibes. Learned my lesson before. :)
I HATE being left with this cliffhanger moment before moving to a house with no internet today! XD
But here is something I suspect:
MAYBE just maybe, Guwon will get really eeriely serious after beign asked to leave, even if just for a while. Then our main bean leaves, finds clues OR tries to escape and Guwon shows up and things escalate some more.
Either option would make sense but I'm not happy about either of them. Teach is mentally not submissive to this happy-go-lucky apocalypse bullshit, which I am VERY happy about. So him trying to find a way out would make sense. I just hope he doesn't get raped and then Guwon cries because of his emotional instability and things are glossed over. (So far the author doesn't seem the type to go for this bullshit, but who knows.)
I'm looking forward to reading multiple chapters once I have internet again~ <3
can't you use data on your phone? if not go to a cafe or somewhere with wifi to read on upload days!!
I have a phone but the internet is limited and I don't have electricity for a while either to even load the damn thing. And internet cafes do not exist in my town anymore. :'D
My best bet is to hope the electricity and internet can get fixed soon.
are you lebanese by any chance?
Sadly no, I'm german. :')
