The writing of this feels really off.
I could forgive the very obnoxious back and forth from past to present and rinse and repeat, over and over and OVER (without getting to the point in a good manner), but even that becomes unforgivable since it drags on for so long.
What bothers me most is the absolute misuse of that AND the miscommunication trope tho. As well as the character behavior: Both of them come across like acting to create a specific moment rather than a moment happening due to them behaving as the person they are. If that makes sense? It feels forced, shoe-horned and random at times even. As if the script didn't think through how to get to the next happening, but we had to get there, so we'll just force it within moments.
Both the MC and the ML have personalities that seem bland, again, as if their behavior is rooted in creating the next happening rather than a flowing and cohesive personality.
It's just strange. Tho the back and forth without getting anywhere and the annoying misunderstandings really does not help get a real feel for their actual perosnality.
It's an interesting story at the core, but the execution is anything but good. And I am certainly not a fan of the main plot basically being miscommunication/misunderstandings galore in and of itself, everything around is basically just a garnish.
Not really my thing due to these issues just overstaying their welcome WAY too much. But maybe you can enjoy it.
The art is decent, tho I noticed the artist has an issue with not being able to portray some expressions. But i know people can forgive that easily.
Check it out, give it a try. It's too annoying for my taste, but maybe you won't mind.
Anyone got any recs for a story that is primarily set to start, develope or completely take place in a gay bar setting? Kinda like someone going there for the first time and meeting someone.
Not quite interested in absolute smut comics, I'd prefer there to be a story and romance the comic focuses on rather than just bonking.
Thanks in advance for any recs! Any age is welcome btw, I like some old school japanese manga just as much as modern webtoons. Anything goes. :)
https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/sonna_ni_iu_nara_daiteyaru/ yeah, I treat Identity Porn as plot, I'm sorry but it's good though
I lost the bookmark/name of the webtoon someone posted pics of in a Question the other day.
I remember the poster saying it was a korean webtoon about an alpha (dark short hair) who got bullied by his classmates. They made him undress and insulted him because of his dick. XD
I wanted to read it because the situation and dialogue in the posted panels were so weird out of context.
Does anyone know which webtoon this is?
He looked like a typical beefcake-type bottom tho, kinda like these types of stories have: https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/absolutely_ruined_love/
The hair short but not slicked back or anything. But not curly.
Adding this in case this helps somehow.
I would honestly prefer a hiatus over the art getting more wonky by the panel.
People gotta stop pushing things if they are not up for the work due to whatever reason. It'll not do the comic any favours. :(
