I know how you are feeling. Yaoi?? I'm all for it, but a Tiger & Bunny dj... that's just shounen for me, even when my favourite mangaka is shipping them too T.T

Asami did those things first remember, minus the tattooing. It's yaoi. Shit happens.

To each her own. I like him because he has a complex relationship with both Asami and Aki. Also, he is beautiful and deadly. "It's complicated"

Fei did some horrible things, but he lived in a rather extreme and harsh reality. Fei threaten to kill or addict Aki, but in the end, Fei came to care for him. Fei also finally started to move on after Asami. Besides,the way Fei treats Tao and Yoh show he has a heart.

At one level, since Aki never seemed overly upset (I mean, i am sure he wanted to leave, but he wasn't broken in any way), I can forgive Fei (especially when Fei showed signs of character growth. I can't forgive Yuri because he actually traumatized Aki. Sakazaki likewise made Aki sick (though it wasn't like the crap Yuri pulled). Aki's reactions matter to me. But also, neither Yuri or Sakazaki show signs of growth yet--one dangerously represses his desires and acts out violently because of it, and the other is a huge sleazebag.

Fei is at least respectable he lost everything he though had meaning at a young age, but he pulled himself together an rebuilt his father's organization. He is surrounded by traitors and those who want to take him down. And, yes, he has this left over thing for Asami (and now lingering feelings for Aki too). However, Fei is a dragon: strong, selfish, beautiful, dangerous, protective and hot.

Like ashida pointed out, going by that argument you could say similar things about Asami. In my opinion part of the answer is simply that there is more to a character than their actions (unless they're used as a tool). Just look at protagonists like Light from Death Note or Ciel and Sebastian from Black Butler. They've done horrible things and are everything but good people in that sense, and even so readers still like and sympathize with them. If you look at it from that perspective, Fei has actually done more to redeem himself. I like him because I like complex characters. And long hair. Which is a bit beside the point. But you get the idea.
