There is actually an entire, legitimate book written on how to commit painless suicide using helium and a plastic hood device. Because of the helium, the body thinks it is still breathing, so there is no panic for lack of oxygen. A person who uses it drifts off into unconsciousness and suffocates unto death. They even used to sell the hood pre-made......
