Currently at chapter 75 and it really feels like they're dragging the plot on.
Usually you have a height of conflict, instead this manga keeps shooting you up and down, introducing new character left and right as well as adding a trump card every chapter.
It's really tiring to read and I'm not sure if I want to keep reading it just because I want to see the happy end.
I do like that you can see the female lead's
and Male lead's change in character.

Also the two duke's are such awesome characters but really don't serve much of a plot relevance. They offered their protection but in the end she decided to head to the palace anyway.
I like it overall, but not enought to read to chapter 120. No manga should last more than 100 chapters. I'm literally at chapter 75 and they say "little did we know the ruins our decisions would lead us to...", like what the fuck.
the point of the two dukes is to provide Valeta with a safe environment and provide her with the means to open up and develop as a character. They may not do a lot bc they don't have powers, but they treat her like a normal girl, offer her praise, show her that she can trust, provide her with basic needs and love that she never received.
I was actually thinking about this and yes you‘re right they do help in her character developement. I think the best thing about this manga is the way that each character is really rounded.
Still doesn‘t make me want to read 120 chapters of it. I wish it finished up sooner, then it would be amazing.
I just feel like all the talk about them protecting her ended up being redundant. The problem just kept excalating and them taking her to the palace to demonstrate that she is in their protection did NOT help.
Overall the duke‘s are still my favorite though.

the manga actually finishes at 110, the other 10 ch. are side story that you don't need to read and are pretty bad compared to the rest of the story. And I understand the redundancy and how she keeps ending up in jail, but I think it was worth reading to the end to see how everything plays out and how the characters develop. But I respect your opinion if you don't feel that it isn't worth it, life is too short to waste on bad manga.

Pawn's revenge? It's more real life based and a good read....you may find the start boring? But it gets so good.
