I know that I will immediately start to get hate for this, but compared to the majority I hated the doctor the most.
Don't get me wrong, I wished for him to have a happy ending, he's literally the only saint in this Manhua, but that doesn't mean that everything he did was right or justifiable.

1 Still tried to get with someone who clearly had a ring on his finger, at first he wasn't that direct about it but he obviously had thoughts and he didn't even told himself once "he's already in a relationship, I shouldn't think about him that way" and that was before knowing who the partner actually was and how bad that Partner was, so even if his actual partner was better than the Canon one he still would have probably tried to get his way with him.

2 As a doctor you CAN'T fall in love with your patient, that's literally the first rule of a doctor.
Ok, maybe you can, but your job isn't trying to date them, you have to prioritize your work life and not try to date your patient.
Same goes for a psychologist, even if they like the patient if we were to consider their job they could easily get fired because they were dating a patient, I guess it's more "problematic" for a Psychologist but still as a doctor I really hated how he literally ignored the unspoken rule, you have to prioritize your job first not trying to flirt and steal your patient from someone else considering you don't even know if that person actually deserved a random guy who was supposed to cure him stealing from them or not.

3 He didn't accepted the no for answer when confessed, when they tell you that they love this person (always before he discovered how bad his partner was I think) you should shut up, you should stop because if you love them you shouldn't push yourself onto them but he did.

4 He had NO RIGHT to not let the ex boyfriend see him, I'm not saying that the ex is a saint but that wasn't Ai right to chose.
That was the actual partner choice, not him.
Like, he knew very well he was just a replacement, even a blind person knew that for how obvious it was.
He just decided to hold to this fake love, he never loved him, he still loved his ex boyfriend but that isn't the point for now.
He had no right to decide if he should see him or not, say what you want, the ex actually regretted his actions.
I won't say he had to be forgiven but if he could see him or not didn't depended from Ai, he don't have the RIGHT to chose for him.
He never asked him if he wanted to met him until he made him too much emotionally attached to him and literally decided to hide him from the world in his last moments of life.
Even if he wasn't against it that was straight up kidnapping just because he didn't cared if he loved him, he just wanted to be with him until he died and then blame everything on the ex, not even trying to find a solution or a new bone (?), the ex boyfriend did that while he make himself appear as the good guy and always cuddled him, sure he may have made him happy but he literally hided everything from him, about who was searching for a new bone while he spent the time cuddling with him, it felt more like he just wanted the ex to waste time on it so that he could die being with him instead that living without being with him.

I may be reading too much into things, maybe I read something wrong but even if the doctor deserved better it definitely wasn't him the one he deserved.
Despite all of that he never loved him, he still wanted to see his ex and used the doctor as substitute because he was emotionally vulnerable since he was literally about to die.
What part of all of this is genuine and sane love?

That's toxic in a way, both from Ai and the other side.

At least that's what I think.
I'm not sure if the main couple should have got back together, but they should have at least talked.
It wasn't Ai right to chose for him what to do with him, if he wanted to forgive him or slap him in the face wasn't his choice to make but he still did.
God, if he really loved him why didn't he asked him what he wanted until they were in a "relationship" when he was forced to say no with seeing his ex because now he had Ai?

You don't do this if you really love someone, he had no choice in their past relationship, no matter if he hated him for cheating or whatever, that wasn't his choice to make and he couldn't act like he was the one who could judge the situation as if he knew how he felt when being cheated on.

That's my opinion, I don't think the doctor is that good or deserve the MC at all, I don't know if someone "deserve" someone, I don't know if the main couple should be together but they should have had a chace to see each other because Ai didn't hurted only the cheater, but also the guy he said he loved by literally confining him jn his house to wait for death and act like a little angel while the other searched for a solution and literally just wanted to at least apologize, he even said he wouldn't see him again if he just let him talk with him at least once and apologize then leave, I genuinely think he would have kept his word if it happens.

I don't really know who I like more and who deserved better, but I know that in my opinion the doctor isn't as better than the others and he's equally as bad in his way.
