I'm trying to make a list of manga/hua/hwa where characters return from death back to the start of the plot and try to change something again and again. I've currently got two (which are lowkey spoilers) ad example so look ahead if u wanna

in these two, someone else close to the mc dies instead but mc goes back in time multiple times to change history:

'At the end of the road'-- liked it on my first read but on reread, it felt like the og body was not sympathise with, the ml just seemed like an abuser too, overall didn't like the vibes.
'Semantic Error'-- couldn't really like the mc. I get it that the mc has no experience with dating but the whole robotic personality seemed over the top or maybe that's just not my thing.
'Light and Shadow'-- i wanted to read this one but then i think i read a review about it and it had a trope that i dislike that i don't remember now, but i might give it a go cause i love strong fmc and the cover portrayed that feeling.
I haven't read some of the other ones, i think there are few others too that I dropped but i could remember these.
Also 'Payback' -- i liked it's starting but towards the end, the plot felt fast paced and confusing. Also comments talked about how the ml was kindof abusive towards mc and i feel like that's true.
'My beloved oppressor''-- I'll admit my fault in this, i went in on the name and just never started it. There are works with abusive mls where they get redemption and mc just gets with them, thought this would've been the same, but i shall give it a go
Semantic error and payback i get it and was also thinking of removing them and the reasons you listed are exactly why so i see u but the others i feel like you should have a go reading especially my beloved oppressor it may seem like any other obnoxious josei with a dickhead ml but trust me this one is actually well written. It's real character development and not just a sugar coated 'ive changed i swear!!' Type situation which is why i like it so much. The way i see it is less like a love story but a story of how two people destroy each other but also self-realisation and develop each other into better people like a caterpillar into a butterfly. I really hope you'll give it a try!!
All this about pride and prejudice but i think this resembles "Emma" more; another jane austen novel about a single woman who matchmakes and helps other's relationships
Yep it resembles Emma more especially the first chapter
