I’m sure the K-Drama is good as a stand-alone but I feel like they did some of these characters so dirty
I heard that in an interview, the author didn’t want the K-Drama to follow the OG story 1-for-1 so they changed things up. They added new characters, got rid of some, and kept others.
But the thing I’m pressed about is the change of the original characters who were kept. Like our detective?? OMG they did him dirty. And some of them just feel so incredibly different- it would’ve been better if they just scrapped the character and replaced them with someone else altogether.
And then different characters who died and some who stayed alive- like DAMN. I’m not particularly pressed about it but knowing that some of my favorite Manhwa characters who were practically the same DIED in the K-drama and lived in the original story just makes me feel some type of way.
I think if I hadn’t read the original story that I might’ve liked the K-drama a lot. It’s just a bit of a bummer seeing some of my favorite characters being butchered.
So like- if her father loved her from the very start- just a theory, I'm not very confident in it lol- he planned to get her out of the shadow room using Max. He told her to endure it/hold on because he was gonna come back to save her. After all, if he wanted to, he could've overthrown the emperor.
Unsure- but I don't really think Max cares about his family/sister all that much, so why would he need to interrogate the "criminal who poisoned my sister". If he was someone who would kill anyone who got in his way- why did he say he wouldn't kill her?
Obvious flaws in this theory- why would Max agree to save her if he just thought she was a weakness to her father? Idk- it's just a theory, A MANHWA THEORY, thanks for reading ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Everything and everyone is connected. There’s so many little details, you can tell there’s so much love and care put into this work. Everything was all building up to come full circle, this truly was a beautiful read.
