I also do not like sexism just like you. But the timeline is different than ours, and the story was based in medieval settings where womans make the food and take care of the children, and man protects and hunt or do agriculture to feed the family. The grandma HAS to be sexist, she was created like that because of her environment, because of the settings. I also hope to have a strong female protagonist, but almost no one starts being rough in life, we start soft then we mature our thoughts and personality, that's why i hope for a character development, where she can leave the afraid and scared of death her and be confident in her abilities and powers.
I mean i knew that she figured out that Souma was a girl. But that doesn't mean she has to outright make a dress for her knowing that Souma dresses like a man and hides for a reason. Tbh it makes me kind of mad. If she had just talked to her it would be okay. But making a dress for a festival? No way...
