I feel ending it like that was intentional. Obviously, it's not a sad ending but it feels foreboding. I feel like they're suggesting the readers to think more about the story or sumn.
Well, this is mine. Their relationship is really unhealthy. They're too dependent to each other especially Hyun. And Hyun can be incredibly obsessive, possessive, manipulative, and creepy at times. Not to play psychiatrist, but is he like that because he just have some sort of mental illness? I mean just look at how he behaves. Does a 24 year old person behave like that? I know it's fiction and BL at that, and it's comedy so exaggeration is expected but still. His character is so different from others. Most of the characters' personality are at least quite realistic while his is too much. Was that intentional to add some comedy? Idk. Mingeun was childish sometimes but that's because he's being playful so that's understable but Hyun idk. He also mentioned when he was sick that he wants to act cutesy to Youngjoon. Does that mean he was aware he's being ridiculously childish at times? Is that just his one of his ways to show his affection? Or was acting cute just a part of his being manipulative? Are all those unhealthy things he does are just done without malice because he's just mentally ill? I'm not sure but I feel like he has one of those personality disorder things. (Well, I tried searching it while writing this comment and look what I found. Seems like it fits him
https://www.healthline.com/health/obsessive-love-disorder). Overall, it's like one of those special Black Mirror episodes where it's all fluffy/cutesy in the beginning then they'd reveal a twist in the ending but the difference here is that it's up to us to do that. Or maybe it's just actually a Black Mirror-ry thing where the author is testing how fans will eat up a disturbing story as long it's packaged in a cute colorful box. I'm saying this because it feels like some of the creepy things that the characters said seem to be deliberately chosen so as to arouse conversations like this... Or then again maybe the author actually think these things are cute and I'm just overanalyzing/overthinking things here for nothing
But yeah anyways, it's really cute if you don't think too much about it lol

I dont really think hes manipulative, usually manipulative characters will be like " yess it worked" or something like that once they manipulate someone idk its hard to explain, but if he was manipulative he would just be pretending to be the way his character is but actually have a bad side. He never showed a bad side at all
Also as a gay guy, the first 3 chapters really hurted
