This is my first time reading a straight smut manhwa with a tolerable plot. It's crazy to me how you can easily switch the female mc to an uke and it wouldn't affect the story at all. I bet you can also switch ukes to women to from most yaoi manhwa and it wouldn't change anything at all. To those who read both straight and yaoi manhwa (note: I'm only referring to Korean made web comics hence manhwa), are there actual differences between typical ukes and female mcs?
I feel like there is it just depends on how the author writes the story. I’ve seen some where they make the males and females too submissive and don’t really give them that much of a personality. Some stories would be widely different if the genders were changed. I’m at work so I can’t really give you examples.
So, I enjoyed the movie a lot but I can't relate to people crying over Ugetsu. Do I need to read the manga to feel that? I get that he's alone and he has no one but with his short onscreen time, I wasn't really able to sort of "internalize" with his character.
Yes you need to read it ^^
It’s more like when you understand his character and all he’ve been trough, that’s the scene make you cry
Ugetsu was madly in love of akihiko, « I love him to death » but he knew that’s his existence make him suffer ( by is talent for playing violin) « As long as Akihiko is with me, I'll be unable to become free with my music. And for Akihiko, my existence fundamentally meant suffering »
he always want to stay with Aki, but he want him to be happy before anything.
that’s why he did all of that « I've been pushing him away but he hasn't given up on me at all. I've been trying to leave him every chance I get. But it seems like I'm still not good at doing that, so... I've always been waiting for him to let go of me » ugetsu knew that he can’t be the one who leave him, he love him to much for do that, and he prefer that akihiko « frees » himself from him, for not hurt him,
And that why the final scene is very heartbreaking because Ugetsu want to leave him, but he realize that he was not ready for that, he want to ran after him, he want to tell him that he is in love of him ( akihiko think that he never love him) but he don’t do it because he want him to be finally free
And the scene when he talk about his problem with mafuyu ( chapter 17-27) make the scene even sadder
Omg I’m sorry i talk to much... and my English isn’t great but I’m just so invested by his character... sorry ^^
Did the guy who transform into a girl permanently a guy now or does he still keep switching genders?
He keeps switching genders
