It’s the way her fiancé (i forgot his name ) is mad that his father now wants his engagement annulled even though he’s the one that wanted that since the beginning. Like you neglected your fiancé for years and now when she finally had a good family to look up to you want her back?!???

I mean her fiancee was manipulated by his own father and was (as a child) jelouse of her that her father didn't have any expectations for her.
You still have to remember that. Yes, he realized he had feelings for her a little too late,, but man that boy didn't even get to play properly and when he did, it was with the person who he was jelouse off. Anyone would get a lil crazy

Yup, he acted a bit childish when he was a CHILD, like what do people expect lol. It's wasn't even a permanent thing, he was a perfectly fine companion after his fumble when was like 9 and Phil decided to live for survival. You can see how Phil still trusts him a bit when she asks Nasar to hide her which he instantly agrees to despite it meaning going against the king(especially when she avoids trusting anyone after her trauma with the book and her adoptive father). Not many people would have agreed to her request. Nasar is a decent guy and Phil knows this, Phil is a very levelheaded girl and knows who deserves her dislike and contempt, that's why she properly held her adoptive father accountable for his actions.
did the art change?
No it's just another version of the original story. I do prefer the one before personally
