I had to read it over again bc i forgot the plot and characters. Nothing was coming back to me... until Substance X was introduced! Then all the memories unlocked at once. That stuff is so powerful, it has a mental effect on readers worlds away, sheeeesh

I like the plot and art and style, but it's being held back by the harem tropes. MMC doesn't need to impress every woman in the demon king's army, he needs to impress the demon king.
The blend of seriousness and comedy over a demon exorcist setting tickles the part of my brain that also enjoyed Blue Exorcist. I am rooting for the main pairing!
As wholesome as the Golden Prince trope x Abused Martyr trope pairing is, I need more comedy with that man-Saintess and that obsessed Duke.

There's an opportunity for angst as it is a classic Undervalued Heroine Finds Peace trope of a story, however the personalities of the characters all make it quite lighthearted and direct. Even the antagonists are pretty straightforward, showing off their malicious sides right away. So it's not quite too dramatic. It's a diet Drama.
Its cute that this follows the villainess-dodges-her-bad-ending trope from the male lead's pov! Refreshing!
