There's an opportunity for angst as it is a classic Undervalued Heroine Finds Peace trope of a story, however the personalities of the characters all make it quite lighthearted and direct. Even the antagonists are pretty straightforward, showing off their malicious sides right away. So it's not quite too dramatic. It's a diet Drama.
I actually love scumbag MLs but this is a lot for even me. Gideon is the correct amount of sketchy and his self-oppression simpitude adds to his character. He is *chef's kiss*
His majesty however. Brother, eugh. I'm curious enough to read along and piece together what caused him to break like this, but I'm not supporting nor empathetic enough to accept him.
