I honestly hope that the witch doesn’t end up with the girl. I hope she realizes that being a total psycho and cursing someone isn’t gonna land her a gf. I hope she grows from it and has some character development.
I both agree and disagree with your comment. The reason why I disagree is because the witch didn't think that cursing the guy would "land her a gf." It was because she was furious that the girl she loved was hurting inside because of him. I agree that she needs to mature emotionally, but we all tend to get angry for the sake of the ones we love, regardless of how they feel about it. But most people don't take things into their own hands.
The witch took it too far, especially when we think about the fact he didn't do anything wrong, per se. He didn't cheat on his ex, he just didn't get emotionally attached to her like she wanted him to be. That's not a crime, and although it is sad, that girl shouldn't have been pushing her ideals onto him. She'd formed this sort of victim mentality after her father cheating and was seeing the emotional disconnect between her and her (now) ex-boyfriend. And, instead of facing the issues head on, she chose to give up for "his" sake. It was really for her own self, and that further drove the hurt deeper into our ML.
(These are my thoughts. I probably went on a rant because I was so irritated by the witch and her "beloved." (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ )

But this makes the witch’s reason all the more irrational. And because of the sort of plot this you know she won’t get punished and the our cursed cat will feel grateful for lesson forced upon him because he’ll fall in love with our MC who’s otherwise a stranger to him but for the plot’s sake will be rewarded for just being in the right place at the right time in the generic romantic tale fashion.
I never said or implied that what the witch did was rational, just in case you missed that. That's why I said that I both "disagree and agree" with the original comment. I was only disagreeing with the statement that made her seem like she only cursed the guy to "land her a gf." Everything else I agreed with of the original commentator's remark.
