Damn, the writer made those thought bubbles to mess with me. I think it is Seungho thinking this but it could be Na-Kyum as well. The language fits SH but it isn't prissy enough to be definite. The thing that makes me lean the thoughts are SH is the comment about not worrying about what is in each other's mind because that seems to be a concern that only SH feels. Na-Kyum, on the other hand, would be more interested in finding out that SH values or cares for him like the servant lady suggested to him, because he is feeling pretty low about himself. Also, if these are NK's, I am surprised he didn't put himself down in them - he does this constantly.
God, Doyun is such an idiot. He lucked out with Taehan, but two guys were trying to take him away when the idiot kept ignoring his heat. Then he walks into Taehan's rut. His mom made it sound like the alphas won't be immune to his pheromones. Did they not become mated? He first ignored the doctor, then Taehan and then his mom. Can this boy learn already?
I don't understand why people seem so disheartened in the comments about this latest chapter and the perceived lack of progress between our two main characters.
This chapter was clearly broken off the previous one, so it was just a continuation of an event that would not resolve an ongoing conflict in just one or two chapters.
I would have found it jarring if SH professed love for NK five chapters into the new season, or for NK to understand what the hell is going on with him and the feelings that SH is currently provoking in him.
NK's character should be very clear since many can relate to feelings of insecurity, if not the full blown low self-esteem NK suffers from. He isn't even proud of the immense God given talent he has because it is attached to erotic images of a homosexual nature and the scorn of the man he deeply admires.
Neither NK, nor SH are at a point to either analyze what they are going through (in NK's case he would need someone he trusted to guide him through this and THAT is not a thing available to him) or let go of one's pride enough to admit out loud that they care/love a person that does not love them back (eyes on SH).
It is pretty clear that SH's bullshit meter was fully turned on after the storm calmed for a bit and he knew that NK was not being honest. And that demand for honesty is rich coming from SH who appears to have attempted to talk himself out of his care for NK by calling what they have good enough or something along those lines.
SH has been enjoying himself with NK so much that the bastard has yet to realize that he isn't seeking the ridiculous amount of lovers he was whoring his way through on a daily basis (seriously, I think viagra was created with SH's genes).
NK is doing what is logical to do when you are confused about unwanted and confounding feelings for the person that has kidnapped, violated and threatened you. Think of the conflict that would rage through you. NK had a low view on nobles and SH didn't do much to endear himself to NK or remove this poor view from NK's perspective. He has no one to talk to and when he finds someone he can share his thoughts he has to keep in mind that these people work for SH. The one person he revered and loved told him to his face he knew NK's plight but saw it as something self serving and turned a blind eye. He even turned on NK, removing his kind mask to show the disdain he held at wasting his time with NK.
If these characters have something in common it is that they are both very stubborn and the fact that they have very real barriers to hold them off against trusting each other makes it more difficult for each to open up.
They are going to have to give up something. Whether it is NK's fear and doubt or it is SH's jealousy and pride only time and the events as they unfold in the future will tell.
I read a comment that pointed out that something would have to happen for some progress to come (a.k.a. the nameless assassin hired out by Jihwa) and I agree. Depending on WHO gets hurt we will see WHO relents.
As much as people bemoaned NK's rape by SH and how NK should do this, that or the other to SH, I find it fascinating that many want a quick resolution to the very real conflict between them.
I don't think SH himself doesn't see that his treatment of NK so far is an obstacle for him to overcome. I think that's part of the reason why he keeps trampling forward like an angry bull. He must see it as: "Well, he already expects the worst from me, so I have nothing to lose" or "I already f'd this up and can't fix it." But you can also see the softening and sometime tenderness that arises from him when NK moves him. He must have NK. "Why? I won't ask myself that. He pleases me at this time." Let's just gloss over that he has changed his "nightly habits" for NK and NK alone.
NK is not Jihwa: confident, beautiful, seductive and practiced. So why NK? SH's pride as of this moment won't let him answer. Add InHun to the mix and you have more angry denial from him as a shield to protect himself with.
These characters surrendering to each other this early on would not feel earned and with all that has happened it needs to be.
In my opinion, that love making they did when Nakyum mistook him for Inhun really made Seungho fall head over heels. It was prolly the realest sex he’s had in his life and from then on, feelings of jealousy and possessiveness started to rise from him. It’s just sad that he’s a f-ed up person. I really want Nakyum to end up happy. :’(
I agree. I think that experience he first had with NK drove him to try to relive it again and that's why we have the messed up results we have. He was so playful and delighted in teasing NK the day after he first slept with him and he gave him time to remember...but SH is not patient and then he thought just his ability to provide pleasure alone would bring NK to react as he did on his drunken state. He was wrong.
Even his old lovers noted that SH was being possessive about NK and yet he showed no evidence of being possessive before meeting NK. Jealousy apparently wasn't a thing he was known for either. And here he is, keeping NK to himself, locked up in his own home, guarding him like a treasure. It must sting his pride to know that NK is there against his will - because he does know this and that SH can't just let him go.
SH is currently very frustrated about these feelings and I wouldn't be surprised if SH attempted to sleep with someone else to try to get back to his old lifestyle. He isn't getting that satisfaction he first experienced and he may think it is humiliating for him to want someone that doesn't want him back. That's what is driving his lower instincts and need to lash out. He found something that fulfilled him and has not had it again since.
Are there any theories out there about that flashback Na-Kyum had of his Noona telling him that he had to leave the Kiseung and never come back?
Very curious to see what people think about this.
The brothel part I knew but I am guessing someone may have been making inquiries to get him if the noonas were concerned about him staying.
If they raised him for that long untouched then I guess someone that could override them or someone they couldn't say "no" to showed interest in Na-Kyum.
It felt like there was urgency to get him out of there, because she told him not to come back.
