I wonder when the sacked detective will start to play a role again, he seems to be the only one who is speculating that there might be a link in the murders, but still doesn't know that both men are the culprits. He could take some vigilante justice, and break into their house again, or track them down on their trip. The detective would reach for his gun and shoot at them, because by now he's a paranoid and alcohol dependent, pissed off that they got him sacked and are evading justice. He injures Sangwoo, and Bum jumps in front to defend him. Bum gets injured too. They both survive, both end up in hospital, destined to a life of misery as they are apart from each other. But for that short time before the ambulance arrived, they both achieved their ultimate goal of being completely needed on each other, even if it would result in death. Have that or a double suicide as the option, whilst the police are knocking on their door.

... and somehow fake his death? I mean the only end I can see for the two is 1: They both die. I can't see one living without the other at this point. 2: Like Yashiro said, Doumeki is not a full-fledged Yakuza, so he can still get out pretty easily. It won't be that easy for Yashiro. That's why I think he will fake his death and they'll escape somewhere. But at this point, I honestly can't see them living a fluffy life. 3: Misumi becomes the head, and pardons Yashiro from any further Yakuza activity. 4: Yashiro becomes the head and spends his life out of harm's way... but not really since he still is in the Yakuza.
I feel like we have ALOT more of manga to go. With the rate it's going, I'd say at least six more years, AT LEAST. Honestly I am leaning towards 1. For sensei to pull them off being together, sensei will have to establish another passion for Yashiro. Like something he would love to do of he wasn't so fucked up. For them to sustain, she would need to make it to where Yashiro would be fine living a boring, regular life as long as it's with Doumeki. Or make it to where there's minimal fatal threat in the Yakuza game once all these mishaps are solved with Hirata.
I think they can still live knowing they are close by.
