Comparing sex or rape to stocking selves is like comparing rape to apples. Two very distinctly, vastly different things. Rape may change the psychological makeup of a person, as trauma often do. It may not even be rape in the case of Ryan and MQ, but people who have suffered sexual abuse over a period of time may have very scarred mentalities that can lead them, often, to situations where they relive the trauma because it has become “comfortable” for the victims. That’s why it is incredibly hard for survivors to move on from trauma. So it may not be logical for you, but it is very possible because, again, rape is not like stocking selves.
