Even in her past life, her initial wariness of him got their relationship off to a bad start and he slowly won her over. I’m guessing because he realized she was the “maid” that helped his brother. Their relationship was less romantic, more friendly and he was devoted to her, mostly because she wasn’t allowing herself to love and be loved until very close to the end.

In this timeline, when she initially meets him, his expression makes her think he actually dislikes her more than in the past, and she’s very wary because she’s already changed the past. She misunderstands his constipated looks as hate when he really just wants to jump her lol. (And now he falls faster because he knows she also helped Enoch and rescued his brother’s remains). By now she’s realized that he doesn’t hate her, but she’s confused by his passionate response to her since their past relationship wasn’t like that. Therefore, she’s adjusting. However she’s also probably telling herself that their passionate relationship can’t be real because she has to leave/die in a few months (in denial, too good to be true, etc). Her aim in this timeline wasn’t love, but saving everyone

So I read further ahead and around chapter 6-7 she meets a strong magician who is immortal. Anyway he straight up tells her I'll help you/protect you this was the time to run away because in Chapter 5-6 she teleports out of the castle and into town where the magician(ML) finds her. Later on her own brother tells her why she returned even the magician tells her why don't they just leave. Sigh i guess then we wouldn't have a longer story :/. I guess revenge but the whole point from chapter 1 is that she wants to survive and with her magician future hubby she can hide easily ┑(￣Д ￣)┍.

Another thing they could've done is just kill the crazy Emperor, heck atm he can barely move how he use to. The moment they saw that he killed their mothers they all or some of them should've gotten together to assassinate his ass xD. Then choose a leader among there brothers to be the new Emperor. BTW not even the people surrounding the castle know about the family competition that's going on.

eclise (whatever his name is spelt) was brainwashed by Yvonne and he was the one who brought Yvonne into the mansion earlier than expected (penelopes coming of age). he ends up being too obsessed with her but I forgot what happened after that.

Eckels is going to be obsessed over Penelope to the point of becoming toxic. He then betrayed Penelope by bringing in Yvonne back to the dukedom because he wanted Penelope to leave the house and be with him or whatever. Althogunt he was brainwashed to do this so I don't know if it counts as betrayal

yea so I saw this in a comment here or maybe on tiktok. They said that ecklis(forgot the spelling) betrayed Penelope for the real fl cause of power? and that the real fl was actually brainwashed by a demon or a witch and the Marquis(I'm having trouble spelling everything) is trying to save the entire kingdom for it to not fall bc if Penelope dies the FL will literally ruin the entire kingdom. remember the first chapters of this manhwa that everytime Penelope dies it restarts? yea the Marquis is the reason why it restarts. also I'm not really sure if everything is correct I haven't finished the novel yet I got bored hehe yea that's all.
