was rly into the story but the ending sucked so bad, it was so rushed. i wish they went more in depth about the bird clan situation bc it seemed like colonialism. like are we just gonna ignore when they talked abt the violence the dragon clan caused to them. and the poor guy who got his arm cut off. "ml has a strong heart" my ass, he cut HIS soldier's arm off and was abt to commit genocide. it seemed like such a 180 flip from his beginning impression :/

it just felt like akira got pushed to the side and hime's relationship w cafe guy feels kinda meh. it just felt like she settled w him. don't get me wrong, i love love love cafe guy, he's a sweetheart but i just don't see hime liking him. they spent the entire manga building up her feelings for akira and then timeskip boom she married cafe guy even though the feelings were unreciprocated before? it felt out of no where.
a lot of ppl hated the ending but it's rly realistic for older queer men to be like that. even now when my family says things, i can only laugh it off and pretend like it's a joke. the story is realistic in the romantic aspect, hs lifestyle, etc... so i rly liked this story a lot. (made me kinda sad i didn't have a hs romance lol)
