I love how weird, even twisted Madarame-sensei's characters are sometimes. Makes them more interesting and complex than most characters I encounter in yaoi. I think they are closer to how people actually are, with dark and light sides, fetishes and strange preferences.
Gosh. Natsume and Asahi's story was so beautiful and complex. Natsume's love was so pure he didn't want to taint it with the romantic and sexual, so he went out with all those people wo he wouldn't lay a hand on Asahi. At least that's what I got from it while bawling my eyes out. Hahaha

Let's aside about romantic here, how about his role as a parent, what an example he was right? bringing those many different partners into their home. Well...maybe it's Natsume's house per say, but he decided to take in a kid into his house, so...it's NOW his responsibility as a 'parent' right??
Yeah, yeah, yeah....he's human with many flaws and to correct him self, he has to do many mistakes...but still, if only he didn't do that reckless thing by bringing those people and having sex in front of asahi :(

I don't think he was aware Asahi harbored romantic feelings towards him. Anyway, obviously he was a coward, but I appreciate even his cowardice and I like that Madarame-sensei doesn't just write about pretty/hot/sexy likeable characters, but even those that readers would potentially hate.

yes natsume is just human and has flaws but is still a big bastard, he didnt just hurt Asashi he also hurt the last guy he went out with who was deeply in love with him. i did like the story but it would have been better if at least Asashi hit him the moment natsume looked at him in the way that hurt him (i mean, first pretending not to notice asashis feelings and asking him why he has been going late home seriously?) well first the punch and then the happy ending or something like that would have been better
I think it was eight or nine years ago that I read this manga and was one of my earliest favorites. Sadly, the mangaka may never continue it. It was never finished. I heard sensei got sick. Then I heard she wanted to do the manga differently because her art style changed or something like that. I don't know how true these things are but the fact remains: the manga is unfinished. There are no raws because the succeeding chapters were never published. :'(

I was hoping I'd like the manga because I could not stand the art of the anime, but after a couple of volumes I couldn't keep reading the manga either. Too unrealistic. Ayase is tooooooo feminine this could have very well been shoujo if it were not for his ochinchin (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Loved this despite the shortness and Kou's douchebaggery. He lacked the self-awareness to realize he already loved Ichi and used him to feed his ego instead. He's selfish and insecure, but doesn't that happen to a lot of people when they fall in love? Ahhhh I love sensei. Her characters are so human!!!!
