this story made lorena seem like a real genuinely threatening villlainess but to find out she’s just a bratty child being manipulated by her shitty mother and her shitty father enabling the emotional abuse and there’s actually a third guy that’s probably pulling all the strings from behind … it really kills any threatening aura lorena had near the start of the story. if anything, lorena is a victim to her environment, and there’s nothing id hate more if they forced a redemption arc for her because of that. but i also don’t think this story would be very enjoyable if they didn’t cause the main villain (for now until “that guy” shows up) is like. a 15 year old girl who has no other choice than to listen to her shitty mother. what’s her father gonna do? he’s enabling her! who wants to bet there’s a spirit infecting lorena and that’s why she was such a horrible person in the first timeline and second timeline. either way it’s bad cause if the mom is the reason she becomes a villain = mom is actually who the story should be treating as the main antagonist. but if there’s a bad spirit corrupting lorena’s heart then that just = she was a victim to otherworldly manipulation…. seriously what was the author thinking???? unless they’re gonna do a total rug pull and the mc realizes her sister was not actually the true evil…!! it was… “that guy”….!!! or: oh no…! it was actually her mom!!!! which won’t happen because the mc is always like “woe is me everyone is because of lorena and i won’t do any other critical thinking as to why lorena would do this to me!!” idk.

i feel so bad for ari honestly. she had no idea he had an ex wife and was still living with her. she was so emotional after finding it out. she wanted to marry mincheol and probably start a family, both of which that human dirt rag of a person is leading her on with, stringing her along with false hope. stand up ari don’t take his ass back

mystia is probably one of my least favourite otome isekai MCs lol she has almost no real personality except for being a doormat and easily manipulated. i guess the one thing i respect about her is unconditional kindness to the people around her even if they have wronged her. kill em with kindness i guess. also i need to know why everyone is a yandere though like did the game accidentally crank up the horror factor

i’m almost 99% sure the freesias don’t actually do shit it’s just coincidence and timing that the second ophelia takes out the red freesias, is when felix decides to act on his feelings, that’s why it looks like he’s brainwashed, but he rly just has bad timing.
evidence being him unwilling to sever his engagement with ophelia despite the freesias in the flower bed being red. you could chalk this up to him trying to fight the brainwashing but really i think he was just fighting the decision in his head as someone who will one day become emperor, so he’ll have to marry the holy maiden, or as the boy who’s in love with freesia. in the end he made his decision to be the boy who’s in love with freesia and the second he does, io planted the black freesias.
point two being felix being delighted to eat lunch of ophelia but his schedule is full. as the crown prince he also has to be responsible for the shrine maiden since she decided to still attend school. we even see him upset that he’s losing time with ophelia but that’s only seen after the red freesias are taken out again. we can imply however, that he felt that way even while the freesias were red. it just APPEARS that way so the shrine maiden can keep believing her fantasy, and in the end when it probably gets revealed that *shocker* felix has a will of his own and has remained in love with ophelia this whole time, only then will she realize that they are real people and not o just a capture target and villainess.
i see the freesia’s more as symbols of ophelia’s inner turmoil. the moment she starts to doubt felix, miss him, or feel threatened by the shrine maiden, she realizes the flowers are red. the flowers are always changing colours cause the shrine maiden genuinely believes the freesias are the game mechanics or believes there’s some sort of all powerful omnipotent power that the freesias have to bend the will of people’s romantic feelings for her and only her. i think this will lead to a dramatic build up where felix confesses he’s been in love with her the ENTIRE time and not once wavered. and while ophelia does see him as a real person, it’ll solidify their love and the shrine maiden will and never be a threat. that’s just a theory, a game theorrryyyyyyy

aw man i totally missed that, thanks for pointing that out. i was thinking if that was the case, its sort of the game worlds way of making the prince follow the original route bc the freesias are red. before mc became ophelia, ophelia was basically just an npc villainess, so it would be easier for the prince to fall in love with the shrine maiden. but bc she’s not, and is her own person and the prince fell for her, his mind is not swayed by the game, but his body is. haven’t read the new update yet though

It could actually be a possibility. His consciousness is trapped in his body due to the force of the game but not the MC's. Maybe his closeness to her made him "stronger"? Game compulsion works only under what circumstances though? Only in the presence of the OG heroine perhaps. Which would also explain why the characters where fine when only with her, especially her fiancee.
this shit is so ass…
Nah fr….two chapters spent on fluff
