When I first saw the cover and the "comedy" tag, I was expecting a light and carefree shounen-ai. Well I was wrong, but I was not disappointed. I loved the story anyway, even though the plot remained unclear for me until the end. I think some parts of it were wrongly considered minor (the restricted area, the death of his parents) or maybe they weren't important to the story and to that dream the boy makes, but I think it's a shame to let that float around, it gives the whole story a blurry and muddled atmosphere, as if the author missed out these matters and delivered us an out of sync end, idk. Anyway I hoped to see more of the drama, but I gotta admit that end was weirdly beautiful. I really liked it.
Should I read this manga? I see loads of disappointed comments and I don't want any bad surprise, but apparently the drama is strong and it evolves very slowly. I don't want to affirm anything since I haven't read it (yet?), but for me it seems realistic (slowly evolving, lots of questionning etc.), and I love realistic stories! So is it really realistic or just really dramatic/slow? Can someone shed a light on it? ( ̄∇ ̄")
Well I still ended up reading it out of curiosity, and I quite liked it though. Maybe it's slow but I think it's not so diappointing since /#-.-)sorry, spoiler #-.-)/ they end up together, and this long questionning about his relationship with another may be a little annoying to read but heh, (idk tho I'm not a gay male and I don't want to confirm anything) I think it puts some realism (you know, these yaois where one confess to a straight guy and the next chapter they are head over heels for each other, maybe it can happen but seeing this so often is a little too much sometimes), but in general, the storyline isn't so bad. And yes the drama is quite strong but if you don't dislike dramatic stories it should be fine, you've had it worse. But I must admit some characters really pissed me off. /#-.-) sorry spoiler again #-.-)Being almost raped several times and then ending up friends with the ones who did it seems a bit off. But anyway this is not as bad as I thought.
It didn't strike me as realistic. If it were, those guys who attempted to rape Hiroya won't be friends with him anymore, gaaahd. I skimmed through lots of it because it got too dragging for me, but I finished it anyway and It failed to tug at my heartstrings. :( I wanted to like it, but Rutta and Kodama was more emotionally affecting, despite being extremely fluffy at the same time. There was so much drama in this that I thought was not effective and cheap, even, like when Kanae got stabbed and when Hiroya momentarily lost his memory. It takes skill to affect readers strongly without having to resort to such overused plot devices.
Oh my god senpai behind the door!! He noticed!!! Some drama is coming!!!! And these faces!! Priceless!!!!
