I had a feeling that the older one knows. I mean, there's no way you wouldn't realize anything weird about that god prince (except the part he saw the little guy came to earth for the 1st time).
The older guy immediately realized something weird with the no- romantic feeling prince, so I guess he's naturally sharp but hiding it.
