Oh Aaron...your red flag is showing...seriously if a man (that isn't my man mind you...just a fuck buddy) grabs my face like that?! Bro best believe would have left with a black eye or broken finger ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ.
Yu Jin is being mad patient with Aaron (maybe he does like him), but like come on dude...there is a better way to make him stay. (/TДT)/ fucking be nice and woo him...not display him like damn hunting trophy
PULL *slap* YOURSELF *slap* TOGETHER!
Sniffing dirty sheets, stalking, and bugging the man's motel... Jay honey I think you have a teeny tiny problem ( ̄∇ ̄")
But I get it! Shin is a fine man even in his tighty whities (≧∀≦)
As someone that just read the 2nd novel, I have to say I grew such a fond understanding of Taekjoo and Zhenya now that I didn't think I would have. Now before I talk about why I like them (yes even Zhenya) this relationship would never work for real because let's be for real what Zhenya does to Taekjoo in Novel 1 is unforgivable (Mainly the SA) and I wish Manhwa's authors please just stop using it for shock purposes it's demeaning and honestly pointless. Zhenya could have done everything else he did and it would make sense or easily explained away and their development would still be just as solid and if anything way more believable.
Okay now that I said my peace for that...
Their relationship is something I've never seen done quite like this. It's not perfect and both men make mistakes and they argue at times (more in Novel 1 then in 2) but the way they always come back to one another is endearing to me. Like no one can fill that void except each other.
Now I won't go into spoilers (unless you want me to...you would have to ask me) but what I can say is Zhenya absolutely gets a slap in the face/reality check for the shit he does to Taekjoo in Novel 1. I wish it was explored longer, but what we get for his character choices and development is amazing to read. I was honestly shock to see the author actually try to show that what Zhenya chooses to do to Taekjoo in Novel 1 was horrible and he deserved the consequences.
Taekjoo himself also has character flaws that come to surface that I enjoyed and how those choices shift his life perspective and how he really wants to live in the end. Now it's nothing compared to the development of Zhenya as partner, but it's interesting to see how the author explains his choices, why he does what he does, and why in the end he chooses Zhenya even when he didn't have to.
As for Zhenya the conscious choices he makes at first come off as seemingly selfish, he disregards Taekjoo order to stay home and let him handle his "work", his way of understanding a situation is almost child-like (straight forward and lack of depth), but the more he explains his choices and why the more I realize he really just wants Taekjoo, he wants Taekjoo safe, home, alive and happy. Zhenya is truly like a loyal dog...he will do everything in his power to make sure Taekjoo eats, lives, and come home to him.
I hope it continues to be developed into a full Manhwa for the 2nd Novel as well because let me say a off handed remark...their chemistry is crazy! Taekjoo is so much more hungry for Zhenya...reading it had me ლ(´ڡ`ლ) lol
Sorry rambling but when I'm interested in something I have to get it off my chest. Would love to hear from anyone who may have also recently read the novel...also if it's about spoilers we can always chat separately.
9/10: Story
10/10: Characters
9/10: Pacing
Under The Green Light will absolutely be one of my favorites to run to now when I need a break from obscene couples. I really enjoyed how levelheaded both men could be even when upset. The story was good, nothing too crazy happened, Brandon was just enough of a pain in the ass without being a super villain (again love a great villain but Manhwa's have a habit of being insanely toxic to the point characters aren't even human anymore). I appreciate a straightforward story that doesn't deviate from the plot solely to keep the characters from talking.
The pacing may have been a little fast at the end for me, especially with Brandon (felt like he was just all talk and no bite at times). But that's my personal issue, overall a character couple and good story!
LOVE YOU JIN AND MATTHEW (⌒▽⌒)
Oh My Lord! ヾ(☆▽☆) These two are being extra slutty
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ I'm way to excited for two fictional characters bedroom life lol
I gotta admit...I'm pretty damn jealous of Jooha, pretty boy got himself a good man lol
Two hot, communicating, and emotionally available men...god I would like my turn soon too ( ̄∇ ̄")
We need more of this in Manhwas! Hot Incubi that only live to love on the bottom lol this was such a cute/hot gem to read. Especially with all the crazy/toxic Manhwas we are hit with left and right.
Plus Tae Ho is such a looker! That tattoo was a nice touch ヾ(☆▽☆)
I love a couple that communicates! Oh my god! It's such a breath of fresh air when you don't have to wait 10+ chapters of them being upset and ignoring the conversation because they hurt each others feelings. It's crazy how many Manhwas/mangas are out here that uses lack of communication as a drive to keep the main couple apart. Like why?! Use your brain and create a better scheme than that lol
Tae Seok and Do Jun are perfect examples are two people that have a lot of childhood trauma and baggage to sort through, I'm curious if this will be a Manhwas that follows them through those moments. It would be nice to see a couple slowly working towards healthy partnership together. I don't know what it is but seeing Tae cry for his mom really made me sad. As someone that lost a parent, it's so hard to express that feeling of grief but I find it refreshing to say that he has the perfect partner since Jun himself lost his parents very young.
I'm so curious about Yu Jin's life. I have an idea...not one I'm particularly happy about....sigh.
Also, Aaron is already falling...hell I think he's like Yu Jin from his voice alone and is just dancing around the insomnia bit. Cause he wouldn't go this far for just someone who is supposed to write him a song and that's it.
Also can I say how damn hot Yu Jin looked up on that stage...ヾ(☆▽☆) boy you really pretty lol
Pardon me while I.....
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
Okay sorry lol
These two always surprise me with how honestly sweet they are, I'm just happy that Jin was able to finally let go of ShinHai and pick Matthew. But dammit he had me scared as hell not showing up like that. Like damn sir, you lucky this boy is always pathetically waiting for you like a puppy. Anyway, I can't wait for the final chapters and then hopefully some nice side stories ヾ(☆▽☆)
I'm just so curious about what Jake is thinking. He puts his feelings behind this macho mask when it comes to everything even Shin that in times like this I'm curious as to why did he involve Shin in all this shit? Like sure, sleep him and make y'all dirty jokes but why put him in harms way???
I don't buy he had no choice, from day one he could have convinced Shin to continue seeing him through regular means (Shin's a normal man, so he knew a good lay when Jake asked for BJ in the parking lot lol).
Sure Shin is attracted to dangerous situations even unintentionally but he never stated he only ever dated people like Jake. I just feel like Jake made up this whole bad boy gangster to impress Shin when no one asked for that which if I was Shin would piss me off too.
Like stop playing games with me and just say your a cop (I trust Shin had no reason to snitch)...Also I know Shin is pissed and his pride is mad hurt but I do hope he understands that being with someone that isn't like you can be a good thing too. But I'm pretty ACAB and Jake proved to me why I still stand by that. Like you don't waltz into this man's life and flip shit upside down and think he'll be okay being your puppet. I hope Jake is prepared to fight to keep Shin safe because if he ends up hurt I'm rioting!
Can we also praise this is the first Manhwa where neither lead has "confessed" yet...80 plus chapter in and we still don't even know if this is Lust, infatuation, like, or love. Sure Shin gave in and stated Jake was the only option and choice but that isn't nothing to a love confession. I'm so down to see how their relationship is developed after all this BS is over
Damn...well I know Mom is gonna be gone in the next update.
I appreciate both of the ML's but this is why Tae Seok pushing his way in can be too much for someone like Do Jun. The man is severely depressed, has high anxiety that he doesn't take care of (very nonsensical of him honestly), and he's a workaholic. That is not a man ready to settle down and be in love. I know he does like maybe love Tae but he needs to find his self worth first. Cause at his ripe age of 28 years old and still doesn't understand that someone like Min Woo is a piece shit and apologizes for his disgusting behavior then he really isn't ready.
I understand Tae is just trying to be in Jin's corner when he himself isn't but you can't fight other peoples battles it'll make you drained and feel inadequate. Plus Jun said it himself, he's not even grateful for what Tae did (Personally I would've treated my man like a King lol) but Jun can't wrap his head around someone doing something for him without needing something in return. That's why I understand why Jin Woo hid it from him. He can't handle this kind of stuff but at the same time he also needs to.
I know they're gonna make it, but both of them have a decent way of healing to go (especially Jun).
Now Jin Woo...I don't hate him and I'm rooting for Gi Tae but god I hate his relationship with Jun. I really wish authors would stop writing in incest with lope holes (oh they aren't blood related) screw that! Jun calls that man's mom his mom dammit! He says he's his brother... they're family, it's incest and it's gross.
P.S don't debate me on this last part. I will happily call you a weirdo and ignore you.
My only Toxic Manhwa where the greenest flag Top/Bottom are surrounded by thy most blackest flag situations and people. Like Jooha and Dooshik could write a damn book series with the shit they've been through together.
I'm so happy where we've come with both of my insanely melodramatic boyfriends (b/c I know they were freezing after Idk falling into a god damn frozen lake) but yes, let's have a screaming snot match lmao. But you know what, it brought tears to my eyes too.
Jooha still trying his damndest to push Dooshik away and die alone, like I will say this only for this moment but Jooha that is most selfish shit to say to your partner after watching them willing to put every fiber of their being into not only saving you from literal nightmare fuel life, but loving you back to humanity. Some would say Dooshik didn't have to do all of that, and that is true! But it was his choice and he knew very well what he was signing up for when he got kidnapped and assaulted in Season 1 and he chose to stay.
He loves Jooha and has the right to want him to try to live for once in his life. Jooha deserves to live and exist without being tormented by his past with Pilwon and the Twins even when their gone. I would have said the same things Dooshik said. Dooshik has suffered too and he's allowed to finally cry, vent, and get angry when he's finally "reunited" with his boyfriend only to be told he's stupid for still being around. Nope, Jooha needs to finally see what life without Pilwon is like, the life he should have had from the beginning. He broke every part of Jooha (mentally, physically, and emotionally) and Dooshik was man enough to stay and slowly build him (Joo) up from scratch (it's not perfect, but it's so much better then before). So yes Dooshik has the right to be mad and act out...just hug him dammit! And please go inside before y'all freeze to death and Pearl Boy fans riot lol
Sorry I needed to let out my emotions ┗( T﹏T )┛
Cute story, better than these super toxic omegaverse stories but honestly I couldn't stand Yoon Woo for the first 20+ chapters and I appreciate the both Alphas actually having common sense and rightfully calling out his weird reason to not confess or tell Taekyum he's an omega. But if my best friend just straight up ignores me for 5 damn years...you best believe I would be pissed. I think my problem with the story is this should have been such a quick read because both leads already like one another and just needed to communicate. Like nothing about the actual story is submersive enough to keep the story rolling smoothly (for me). It would have been a cute quick read but it felt longer than necessary when nothing really is happening.
I can tell we're coming to a end soon but lord Jin and Matthew have special place on my Manhwa list..like they're not perfect to say the least but I find them super endearing to watch grow together. Having Matthew apologizing for his part in drugging and hurting Jin to "keep him safe" was a mature move for the author. I also appreciate that Jin knows that forgiveness is okay in this situation because Matthew really is still a "kid" in the grand scheme of this.
One of few age gap relationships in Manhwas that I won't complain too much about (still wish they never met as a kids but story has to story).
Anyway I just want Jin to finally find his peace of mind and happiness and Matthew to realize he finally has the family he never knew he would get.
Is it weird I have no idea where this falls for me as a whole? Like I know for a fact I like it for the most part (pretty characters , story is easy to follow, no one is down right super red flag more like yellowish) but I was getting bored by chap 40. I like Yeon Oh but his developing feelings for Jaehyuk was too surface level (I guess that's why a 32 year old shouldn't mess with a 24 yr old). I know Jaehyuk treating him well and paying off his debts were kind gestures to a kid that never experienced that level of money but to me that's pretty much why he said he was gonna sponsor you (be his boyfriend and get nice things). The only gesture I get behind that made me believe Jaehyuk started to liked Yeon was buying the painting for no reason.
Also not sure why he used this boy for his body like you telling me your grandfather is so gross that he was watching his grandson sleep with his partner in the privacy of his own home?? Like make that make sense, if you know your grandfather bugged your house you get someone to debug it, not sleep with a impressionable young man? I think it would have still been a nice read and hotter build up if the sex part was not in the deal that way it feels less icky. The kid is an actor he could have faked the moans and stuff while y'all just did a lot of PDA when out.
I am proud of Yeon for standing his ground that Jae played with his emotions for too long but like I was a bit annoyed when he just said nah I'm not giving you the USB...like you don't even know why he needs that (literally evidence for Jae mother's murder....) don't be childish (I know he's 24 but that's why I don't care for Jae using him in the first place)
Also Manhwa author please stop making the age gap relationship start with the oldest knowing the young as adolescent...like come on....
Again not saying I hate it just felt like it needed polishing at times ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
*Is somebody gonna my freak*
Perfectly sums up Aaron and Yu Jin lol story is surprisingly simple but not boring. I'm curious about Yu Jin's upbringing and his trauma behind his family and singing. I would also love to learn more about Aaron, he's a bit surface level right now still.
Also is it me but when the Blondes are the Top for the story these men be insatiable and down right kink masters lol
Also just a sweet note! Why is Colin so damn adorable
ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ I just wanna bite him lol his widdle hands holding Yu Jin's thumb was so darn cute!
Also I would like if the story brings up the way Hollywood and parents be forcing their children to live out these dreams that were never theirs' in the first place, it's such a sad reality in real life.
So this is my first read through of season 1...sorry if I sound long winded I tend to do this when I got a lot on my mind.
So overall I am enjoying myself, art is pretty, characters seem interesting enough, and story is easy to follow. But here is my actual feelings and take.
As a couple I like Yeong Woon and Seo In but as two separate people they frustrate the hell out of me...more Seo In because you know Top gotta be forceful/borderline rapey for kicks. I don't get why they can't just talk like damn...I know you unintentionally hurt one another 10 years ago but like come on. If Seo In's mom really paid Yeong's dad off because (this is an educated guess) Jaewon jumped you and ruined your Jodo career why not just come out and say something?! Like your brother ruined me, why else would I disappear and avoid you?! And Seo In if you have no idea why he left and just broke your heart just be a man and say it! Like this unhealthy ass situation is so uncalled for (in real life I know Manhwa has to Manhwa lol).
Next rant...did Jaewon kiss his own brother!?!?! (⊙…⊙ ) I don't like that one bit....nope potential Incest is scaring me man. So like is he in love with Seo In or is this some weird obsession with the both of them? Curious how he died too...
Now Tae Gu is a fine man (would totally be my type) but I will say this. I can not and will not support a relationship w/ Yeong. The age gap would have been fine if he did not help this boy/ knew him since he was a preteen. That would make Tae Gu 21 when he first met 12 year old Yeong...just no. It ruins the feels every time the flash backs will happen.
Anyway I look forward to seeing Seo and Yeong trying to trust each other and hopefully talk. But if my spidey sense is tingling then we'll look at another half season of tears, mean words, and people getting in the way of the MC's. Yay! Lol
