I'm confused with a lot of people on here. Ash didn't know his friend(s) were making up assumptions because Lyle never said anything; he can't fix or confront something he didn't know was a problem (your partners are not mind readers people, that is an unhealthy approach). It was Lyle once again avoiding confrontation and letting his insecurities run wild instead of speaking to his boyfriend. Ash even asked him what was wrong and Lyle said nothing and wanted space. Ash did everything a healthy partner should do. You ask, you wait/give space, then you solve. He can't be the only one doing the brunt of the work though and he would never force Lyle to open up when he isn't ready.
Yes Lyle has a way to go with his insecurities (which are not his fault of course). But he is a grown man, who loves Ash and needs to realize that Ash loves him too. Yes, their love is unique but not wrong. Ash, cares for Lyle and only wants what is best for him. (=・ω・=)
I get some of y'all stance comes from a place that his friends were being a bit shady but they have zero clues that Hazel cheated, that's why they are confused to see Ash with another man (alpha at that). He never told them about the way they broke up, that fact they never actually bonded, or the fact he wasn't even thinking of marriage. They've been running off of false information this whole time. Now that doesn't excuse them speaking this up in their home with Lyle around that's just plan rude and I hope Ash tells them to apologize for doing that. Ash can apologize for not clearing up the confusion but in no way is he "wrong". He has right to privacy about his intimate life and plus it seems he is saving face for Hazel since they all seem to be mutual friends.
They handle this actually how I would with a partner. You can voice you being upset, but you listen, you explain, and you reassure (all of which Ash did).

I agree, I think people are being too harsh on Ash. Lyle pushed ash refusing to communicate but somehow Ash is at the wrong for giving him space.
I think its the way the author made Ash talk that made people assume that he was hiding it as a secret and he never corrected his friends about the bonding or marriage thing i think the author did this for a climactic affect
I saw someone mention the author did in fact make sure Ash had said he was sorry for not clearing up his past with Hazel, maybe it wasn't translated here (which sucks) so I understand why so many are upset with that. It comes across like Lyle is the only one wrong which isn't fair. But I still stand that this is still something that if it were a real life situation. The person that is feeling wronged should be the one to at least voice it. That way it leaves zero room for the other person to not fix what they did or didn't do. Ash can tell his friends and clear up the issue, but Lyle was already feeling those feelings and he chose to bottle up. Not a healthy thing to do--it causes stress.
I think it comes from the fact Ash should have squashed the comments with his friends...which is a fair point! But he only knew of the one person--not the others also quietly gossiping. Had Lyle said something privately Ash could have had the opportunity to fix the issue before Hazel had shown up and made it worse.
That's why I still stand by my feelings that while I am not mad at Lyle, I can absolutely get Ash being frustrated. He couldn't reassure his boyfriend when he didn't even know what was bothering him in the first place.
I think you're misunderstanding him tbh he only needed time at first after hearing such things some people just want to be alone but after he decided to go look for ash to talk things out, he only left again because he saw hazel with him an panicked but after some thinking he decided to go right back out to communicate to ash. He's def not perfect neither is ash but i still think that Lyle didn't do much wrong at least in this version of the translation

I'm not really a misunderstanding him, I understand where Lyle coming from completely, but that that doesn't mean it wasn't the cause of even more of his anxiety. Yes he deserved to be alone if he needed it, but he then slept on it (which is fine but leaves room for more unresolved questions and feelings).
Let's say I tell my boyfriend I am fine but want space and he respects that. It is on me now to now to make sure to open up that door again. Now I slept on those unresolved feelings and my bf is gone before I wake up, I go to see him and see him with said ex I was worried about. It is now also up to me to confront the both of them and see why they're meeting up and let my bf explain first before I jump to any conclusions. Lyle leaving for just those few minutes had Ash frazzled because he knows his bf is often letting his thoughts run ragged and bottles them up too (This was Lyle the entire manhwa not just in this moment). Now don't think I'm hating on Lyle (I adore the mess out him!!) but I know he is often standing in his own way of happiest because he doesn't believe he deserves anything Ash gives him (which is why I hate his Grandpa still!)
Yes Ash made mistake as well which I hold him accountable for, but if you notice Ash is often the one fessing up first and acknowledging his mistakes throughout the story. I think their "break up" era was when he was not the most honest with himself and his feelings. Lyle needs a lot of reassurance but for him to be truly happy with Ash he has to start working on being able to reassure himself too. That is my whole point--I just want Lyle (even people like Lyle) to realize it is okay to be insecure at times but let your partner in, keeping things away only gets you hurt in the end.
I am no where near mad at Lyle (a bit frustrated but not mad lol) and that's only cause I am often like Ash. If you ask me, I'll tell you anything you want to know. I am often an open book which I guess is scary to some people because like Lyle character it's hard to face rejection, guilt, heartbreak, etc...
But I love how endearing Lyle is with his feelings. He wears all of his emotions on his sleeve which is why Ash knows when he is upset or thinking too much. That is why I said Lyle has to work on trusting his feelings and opening up more to Ash. Yes Ash should have talk about his past, but all Lyle had to do was just ask. This was a simple miscommunication but neither of them are bad boyfriends for what happened. Just learn from this mistake and do better next time.
That doesn't mean that Ash can't get frustrated at some point. People need to understand that this had to happen you can't expect ash to just keep guessing what's Lyle is feeling, this is a relationship where both need to communicate.
I actually used to be like Lyle, but the older I grew the more I realized that I can't keep bottling thing's up while expecting others to understand me.

As far as I understand, omegas can be marked but they are able to have other partners while marked Alphas can only be partnered with the Omega who marked them. According to Kiss me Liar when Yeonwoo tried to hurt Keith, he told Keith that he (Yeonwoo) will be Keith's last Omega while Keith is not Yeonwoo's last Alpha. All this to say....it is very confusing...lol
