Y'all know "being eaten alive" is sex, right? That phrase is used in Yaoi a LOT. And Remember, She's in a 19+ adult book that was too gory and sexually explicit for her to finish reading. Chapter 3 (I think) said that after her character was "eaten" the duke kicks the Popes ass. So they gonna have sex and it'll stabilize/unlock his power and he gonna destroy that pope. I can't tell if y'all that innocent or if I've read too much yaoi.
i'm pretty sure it's actually being cannibalised, i read the novel, it says that og Ertha tried to seduce the Duke but ended up being eaten as her blood can also purify, so eating all of her would let the Duke use all his magic w/o going crazy. Sex would be a temporary purification, just like a kiss, or a drop of blood. The sexually explicit part was likely bc og Ertha was going around having sex with all the other wizards.
You're missing an important detail with that reasoning that "eating" her just means sex, and that is the fact that way too many of the story's most important plot points would no longer make any sense if eating her alive just means sex and not cannibalism. For starters, the mc's fear of being eaten alive would sound stupid if it's just sex that she's so afraid of (given how she even agreed to marry the guy). Nor does it make sense if it means giving him her virginity, since it doesn't make any sense how she wouldn't just decide to give it up and spare herself all the danger and trouble, if that was all she needed to do in order to get the wizards to stop bothering her. Moreover, it's unlikely she'd rather keep her virginity over her sibling's safety, since she knows that the longer she and the twins have to stay beside the male lead, the greater the danger her siblings will be in, if the male lead ever happens to figure out that the two kids are the last two undiscovered wizards... On a final note, the mc always repeats that the reason the purifier was only a minor character in the original story is because she didn't last for long in the story, as she died and disappeared at the beginning of the novel, right after getting "eaten" by the male lead.
So, for all of this to make even remote sense, there's no other option but to take its meaning as actual cannibalism... sex and/or loss of virginity are not enough to account for the danger that the purifier always seems to find herself in, and the constant fear she has to endure as a result.

"I already mentioned that I dropped the public releases of Mimasaka-kun to Mayoeru Kobuta and Ushiro no Seki no Katou-kun due to the publisher’s request back then on October."
I can't find where it's being translated in English. I really loved this one too.

Oh damn. I think this replaced 'Sign' as my favorite.
I'm usually skipping the dialog to get to the smut (I'm a simple person). But everything about this story is perfection and I just wanted to share. Dialog/Humor/Spice/Fluff/Cuteness all put exactly where it's needed to be. Soul healing fluff, all while building up and making us wait for the spice. And. It's. Good. Spice. I'm for sure going to buy this one.
If you're on the fence about reading this, give it a try. It's excellent!
