But really, I like how how guilty he feels about the past, like, even a small callback to a time when he wasn't considerate of her got him back on his knees. Although it gets a bit heartbreaking to hear his self deprecating thoughts everytime but shit, if that's the price to get him to treat her better so be it... Maybe with time his low self esteem will get some healing too
His masked 'calm face' is kinda scary, but I understand he's trying to protect himself from a parent who abandoned him. Last thing he wants is be vulnerable in front of her :'(
The writing is so bad, the characters' behaviors make no sense. It's like the author just make them express love and affection to each other when she's in a good mood, then back to tension and drama the next chapter lol
