I’d like to remind everyone (including myself) this is a story about gangsters or whatever the hell you call them in Korea. Granted, sexual abuse has been rather rampant in many BL manhwas and it doesn’t really bode well in most audiences but I kind of fully understand it’s severity in this particular story. They’re gangsters. However we may be morally or politically correct, in their world, they are the law.
Is this, I don’t know how to call it, mental instability/mental health issue caused by incapable/awful parenthood so common in Korea? I mean, I don’t want to sound ignorant or offensive but I have read quite a lot of these plots on BL manhwas so I want to know.
I guess that would be a generalizing statement, and i don't mean to offend anyone or claim its true, but i read somewhere that Asian families often raise mentally and emotionally stressed people due to the lack of love and affection in their culture. Especially since apparently they tend to compare their children. Again i only read this im not saying its actually true.
a lot of asian families (im asian) place high expectations on children and view education as something very important for their future, topped with a very harsh education system (just read up on the stress sokor’s suneung exam brings students) — school basically determines your social standing and future career, unlike, say, america, where experience & skill matters more [which is why the pressure on teachers like jiri is also extremely high]
Thank you for mentioning this!!! I learned more today. I am american therefore different education systems always interest me since i often hear people saying that america has very "free" schooling but im out here dying taking college level courses in high school and now being one year ahead in college
How did Taeho (?) fit down there below the driving seat? Like, he be having a big body so idk.
