a princess bride reference? (=・ω・=)

he asked which role yousuke would like to have.... I lived so long to finally read a yaoi where the partner was seriously asked that. i can die now.

flat story, overused plot and really bad pacing... sorry, but the first chapters are so aweful. (and it is not really getting better afterwards...)
"hey i forced myself on you cause i love you" yeah dude, you friggin good example of a "typical seme" in so many mangas. but wait! what is this? there's another dude forcing himself on my uke, better tell him to fuck off because only i can love him and violate him to my hearts content.
and the stupid uke is like a dead fish and lets everyone push him around as much as they want. because love.
i sometimes hate mangakas (and parts of the fanbase) for treating their characteres with so little respect. you CAN do a possessive relationship storyline, don't get me wrong and tbh i like them very much thank you, but it needs way more than just rape being confused as love.

I don't like this mangakas habit of shrinking the ukes body during sex so that a grown man looks like a 12 year old brat... this isn't the only manga they're doing that and well yeah, maybe shota is their kink, but I almost stopped reading because of that.

but this story was just rubbish. i kind of know what the author wanted to do (competing with the one you love to show them your worth and make them better while fighting you) but it lacked so so much in the development of their relationship that it all turned into a boring and not very engrossing story. there was no peak, no thrill and the end was like "hey, you know what? you two are perfect for each other!" why? where? because of their competition??? because they don't understand each other? that's not a reason to suddenly become a couple (would be a very poor reason). no, story-wise this was rubbish.
and the only visual interesting charakter was ootaki san.
