He said he wanted to stop pretending to mope because, "pretending to mope" is his way of punishing Cole for being so 'lenient' with their relationship. So he wants to "stop having to punish Cole" and just have Cole UNDERSTAND that Alex loves him. Also, he is SERIOUS about Cole, and that's WHY he has to "pretend to mope" to punish him. He wants Cole to get jealous, to get greedy, and to get serious about Alex instead of being so easygoing when it comes to his partner.
In other words, he wants Cole to get a freaking clue, and realize that Alex loves him, by making Cole jealous enough to admit his true feelings that he's hiding.

Another girl put that link some posts down, but I don't know if you can put here the translations from the book, as far as I know here you find the scanlations from the magazine. I read the Spanish translations and almost got choked drinking soda with some of the dialogues, just as:

Well, the translation I made here looks pretty rough and rushed, though. ^^
The extended scenes are meant as an incentive for people to buy the actual volume once it comes out. That's why - apart from the additional work - scanlation groups don't translate and release them. It's their way of supporting sensei by keeping the extended scenes unscanlated so people are encouraged to buy the actual volume. I'd say, let's keep it that way around here. Volume 8 will be available in March as print and digital version for everyone. Thanks to SuBLime there is really no longer any excuse not to buy it. :)

And all praise to SuBLime for bringing us both from now on and not just in print form, but in digital form and new translation as well. :) Honestly, that break with DMI and ending the licence agreement with them was the best thing that could have happened to Finder. I am really looking forward to the new translation of Volume 8 as well as the previous Finder volumes and expect them to do an excellent job.
