Well Duke Ergy is Heinrey's friend, we don't see them interact too much but it does say in earlier chapters that they're good friends. From what I've seen in other comments apparently Duke is hangin around rashta by Heinrey's request, kinda like a keepin tags and manipulating her kinda thing. All this idk for sure, just what other comments have said but from the most recent chapter these theories are probly true.

He is, :) when the whole divorce comes, that asshole of an emperor throws and locks empress Navier on a tower and king Heinley as well (because his plan was to married Trashta to make their kid a prince and then divorce Trashta and remarried Navier again since Navier never wanted to adopt the kid), but he can't keep Heinley lock up for too long since Heinley is a king and that'll only bring trouble, but he also doesn't want to lose face for letting Heinley go so he ask Duke Ergy to help him smuggled king Heinley out of his kingdom but Duke Ergy backstabs him by also smuggling ex-empress Navier out as well with king Heinley. And Sovieshit don't reliase empress Navier absences until 2 days later.

I felt the same way at first, I couldn't figure out his true character when he was introduced, I thought he was a neutral character, until he started acting up with trashta, I actually thought as the playboy he is, that he slept with trashta then ( ╮(￣▽￣)╭ why else would he been seeing her in the rooms privately, if not for that right? Lol). But then I thought he's truely just a neutral character who plays an important role, he stays loyal to his friend though. Irritating as he is, he's an important character in this story.

I can't give much since this was told to me by another fan who read the novel. That spoiler comment is lost somewhere in the comment section.
Anyways, for what i gathered and remember this fan saying that Navier; since the only thing she knew since childhood was to be an empress, she marries Heinley and eventually falls in love with him too, and they have 2 kids. Heinley's bed is magical so it fixes the empress fertility, since it was speculated that both Navier and Sovieshit were infertile this is how Navier is able to have kids (Sovieshit stills bothers Navier at this point apparently), and when he finds out about Navier pregnancy he starts to suspect Trashta, trashta second pregnancy wasn't from him, unknowingly to all, trashta was already pregnant when sovieshit found her, and when he finds out the truth this leads to Trashta and the blackmailed dickshit deaths. The father of both Trashta's kids also gets kill, (sadly) oh, that trashta kills herself, her kids either gets sold as slaves (or one gets kill while the other one is taken away by Duke ergy saying he leaves a little surprised to emperor sovieshit.)
