i read ao haru ride so i was expecting something similar bc at least au haru had legit reasons for the relationship problems but this is downright brain rot. haruki's character design is wasted on this manga
I dont know how it would work but I feel like the scene with her first appointment when she want and indicated she was here for abortion but the doctor went on and on about oh this is the baby thats the heartbeat etc is insensitive of the doctor. Ppl who indicate they want abortions should also be asked first if they want to see the fetus or hear the heartbeat bc its such a difficult choice in the first place. Like the whole reason she chooses to have the baby is bc of that heartbeat. I also wanna see an abortion being discussed and actually happening and the aftermaths amongst a teen couple or something yet its always oops i got pregnant im gonna have the baby ig.
Overall i loved the manga tho i was crying in the library reading it lol
Hmm I don’t think that the doctor acted wrong. She clearly saw that she had a teen in front of her and understood her situation. She explained the situation to Sachi because she didn’t fully grasp the situation she was in and she couldn’t make a proper decision at that time (she was acting on her own).
She advised Sachi to bring her parents to the appointments and encouraged her to open up to them. It would have been worst if the doctor would have just gone through with abortion without any advice or explanation.
I think Sachi would have been more traumatized at that point.

You're talking about how the doctor handled it after having already showed her the baby. Sachi came in asking for an abortion. At that point all they need to do is check if there's an actual baby then ask whether she wants to see it and hear the heartbeat. It felt more like this doctor saw a girl who was unsure and wavering and decided to steer her towards a certain direction and influenced her choice. She didn't even ask and immediately started with that's the baby that's the limbs etc and that's the heartbeat. It is Japan tho so what else can you expect
Doctors have no personal interest if you keep the baby or not, their job is to explain you the situation and provide you with advices and solution depending on our needs.
Therefore what the doctor did was a standard procidure and check up that she does with every patient (ultrasound, heartbeat etc.).
The patient has the right to know everything (that’s what they are paying for). If they really don’t want to know anything about the baby they can simply tell that to the doctor if this would be happening in real life.
In the manga Sachi took the initial decision to make an abortion out of fear and was not a rational decision. And the doctor saw that from the beginning and emphatized with her. That’s why she immediatly said her “thanks for coming” becauze she knew that it was a decision made out of fear considering Sachi’s young age.
What did the doctor had to ask immediatly exactly? About abortion? She can’t interfere in strangers life as she please. That would have been more uncomfortable for Sachi because she would expose herself and felt judged about her decision. So she took the discussion slowly and advised Sachi to seek help from others.
Girl…when Sachi checked in she literally had to indicate what she came in for and she said and wrote down she came for an abortion. Not an ultrasound. Not a checkup. Not for a doctor to tell her what the baby looks like and what the heartbeat sounds like. If you indicate you came for an abortion you don’t go through what that doctor put sachi through unless the patient agrees to it. She saw sachi as an unsure wavering girl and decided to show her another option other than the abortion that Sachi clearly indicated she wanted in her forms. Her motivations for doing so of course can only be speculated but again the whole thing just comes off as the doctor trying to steer her towards another choice.
Additionally, If you think doctors don’t have a personal interest in leading their patients towards what THEY think is best you’re a naive child and don’t know about the real world. There’s millions of doctors that will discourage women from becoming sterile bc “they might want kids in the future” or doctors that actively try to make patients feel guilty for wanting abortions. Stop living in a fantasy world.

the last chapter had him cross eyed in like 2-3 scenes. Whenever the author draws him looking straight ahead she makes him cross eyed lol
the one that made me realize it is the scene from chp 75 when hes looking straight at the other guy and when i went back i just realized she just draws the eyes cross eyed every time someone looks straight ahead I posted a picture of it in the albums to show the difference
I was waiting to finish to complain about how fucking stiff and formal they are when they're talking to each other (read the raws too) even when having sex like jaehyuk was calling him by his full government name and adding the "Mr" (서연오씨) and yeonoh was calling him managing director or vice president while getting railed there would be some moments where jaehyuk would lose his cool and use informal speech but still call him Mr.seo yeon oh so I'm glad they actually talked about that at the end there except fuckass jaehyuk getting turned on by being called basically uncle with a sprinkle of old man (아저씨) boi stand up

While I can see the disappointment in it being too easy I think the purpose is to show that geumtae made this out to be so hard bc of his trauma he could've easily dealt with his dad even when he was healthy but his fear incapacitated him even when his father was at his death bed
