I think I just lost what little faith in humanity I had.... seriously? I was waiting for someone to say it, coz even in real life that’s a legit “argument” ppl try. My country has just allowed same sex marriages and ppl around were (still are) all “Oh if they allow this, the next thing will be making it ok for pedophiles.” I’ve pointedly and colourfully said that it’s completely different thing to be sexually attracted to the same gender over sexual attraction to a prepubescent child. Also a lot of ppl seemed to forget that once upon a time grown arse men were allowed to marry 12 year olds (once they hit puberty anyway, or even before) but most countries stomped that out coz of how messed up it is.
Sorry for the long arse ramble, if anything “triggers” me it’s ppl trying to find similar grounds with those two things. God help me (or them) if I ever see that original comment though....

And the people who blame the MC instead of the blonde guy are back as well. Great.
But whatever. At this point I'm pretty sure that the author actually wanted us to feel sorry for him in the last scene. But I'm, also pretty sure that in the next chapter blondie will say something manipulative and or creepy again and this is just the author's way of saying "don't trust a predator even when he looks harmless".
And should this turn into a "I was healed by your love, let's live happy ever after" story (which wouldn't really fit to what we've seen so far) then I can still drop it.

Child marriage etc is still legal in some countries.
Japan banned child pornography just 4 years ago (2014) but animated hentais of kids are still legal.
Age of consent is 13 in South Korea - it’s lower than North Korea (15)
Then there’s more fucked up stuff but these were two countries that are big and known

I did say “most” countries (had to double check that tho, coz I have a habit of thinking it but forgetting to write it)
But yeah, child marriages are still a thing, as well as younger ages of consent. The majority of readers here are probably from western countries where the age of consent is 16 (in my country) or so. Which is why a lot of us find the relationship between the blonde and Seunghee so wiggy.
Oddly enough though, if the blonde was more of a main character, with no other love interest for Seunghee and his fetish wasn’t outlined so crudely by the boss (and he didn’t send a goddamn dick pick to a middle schooler) he’d be prime match in any other yaoi story and ppl would swoon over him.
I won’t call him a pedophile because that’s not the correct term but I still think going after someone under the age of 18 when in your 30s is messed up

“You can do lewd things with someone above 18 yo when you are an adult” sorry, just clarifying you meant “below” 18, right?
Anyway, as the the talk of age of consent thing it’s more used for a justification by some ppl. “If the kid is legal, having the blonde go after him or even date him is ok and not against the law.”
I’ve never defended the guy further than “it’s fiction not real life, so chill ppl.” Just stated calling him a pedophile is political incorrect. He’s still sick in the head however

I felt like they were just used as convenient tools to actually push the story. I'll just copy paste it here "Chekhov's gun is a dramatic principle that states that every element in a story must be necessary, and irrelevant elements should be removed; elements should not appear to make "false promises" by never coming into play." Like, why introduce all those conflicts? It was a bit disappointing.

I'd just like to remind people that 1.) He IS preying on Seunghee. He targets people who are troubled and isolated. I don't see what's not clear about that. He obviously knew Seunghee was a high schooler. He knew Seunghee was having a hard time. 2.) As I have already said, Seunghee is having a hard time with his life right now. He craves for someone to understand him, and the things is, blonde guy is doing his best to make it seem like he actually cares about Seunghee. However, let's look back at the first interaction between the blonde guy and Seungtaek. He HARASSED Seungtaek, thinking he was Seunghee. 3.) It doesn't matter if he actually develops feelings for Seunghee. If he actually DOES develop feelings for Seunghee, that doesn't excuse him from the fact that he got close to Seunghee because he was a HIGH SCHOOLER, he took advantage of Seunghee's circumstances, and he was grooming Seunghee. If he actually does have feelings, he should realise that what he did was wrong, and he should be punished. 4.) The blonde guy sent dick pics to a MIDDLE SCHOOLER. A MIDDLE SCHOOLER. That doesn't bother you????? 5.) Children and young adults are impressionable. Just look at Seunghee saying "What if I grow crazy when I become an adult? Will I become like that?" Your childhood experiences, as well as your experiences during your impressionable years greatly affect you. There are a lot of studies on that, so just go read them. Do you know there are even childhood rape victims who fall in love with their perpetrators because they think their perpetrators (who raped them when they were CHILDREN) actually love them? This is an adult (what? Is he like in his 30s or something) knowing full well how impressionable Seunghee is right now, and he's using that to his advantage. Please stop defending him.
Also, to the people who keep saying that fiction is different from reality, you can't actually separate whatever you do from reality. Fiction is a reflection of reality. Ideas in fiction are based on reality. It's one thing to find characters interesting and intriguing, but to actually defend the acts of those characters, even though you fully know they're wrong, just because this is a work of fiction? That just doesn't work. Also, I would have understood such reactions if this was more of a psychological manga, in which everything's twisted, and seeing and analysing messed up characters are actually understandable, but oh my god this manga is seriously a lighthearted manga. It's pretty close to reality.
My last point: there are a lot of children in this site. Please do think about what you post before posting.

Thank you, I’ve been trying so hard to make a point of this that i had to use a legality argument to make it clear how preying on MINORS is a CRIME, pedophile by psychology definitely or not. It’s still a crime to intimidately be with someone who is not of legal age yet. Thank you. A thousand preaches to this post
THE COVER FOR THIS CHAPTER GOT ME DEAD ON THE GROUND
