This week seems to be part of the officially pre-planned hiatus by the production so we’ll get the next chapter on the 30th or 1st

People seem to forget (or they never knew) one of the things Art does is hold a mirror against real life and show you everything with all its flaws. Japan is very well known for work place hierarchies, coworker/management power games. expecting workers to dedicate their entire day and night to the workplace by default. We always hear about police working hard to catch perverts on public transportation or public in general. What the culture and social conduct can do to one’s self esteem due to their way of life. How bad you can be treated if you’re not a traditional person. The manga does a good job at showing problems these characters would realistically go thru if they were real people. The fact that this is not a pink and fuzzy perfect fairy tale makes it more valuable.

Also, this work has one of the best BL Drama CDs ever

I want tome plain as a novel reader for those who are confused about the child Zhenya concept

This is the first time Taekjoo sees this child in his dream, he will keep seeing him in the future. If you remember from earlier parts of season 2 (like the contrabass playing) Taekjoo has felt there’s something abnormal about Zhenya and his loneliness. Novel emphasizes this tremendously more compared to the manhwa. That was also what he meant by “I pity you” before he blacked out after the choking scene.

Almost everytime he is separated from Zhenya, he will dream of this child. He doesn’t know it’s Zhenya he keeps thinking I’ve seen this kid somewhere before. It’s what his subconscious mind have developed based on the vulnerable side of Zhenya only Taekjoo in the world was able to see. It becomes a language to source out Taekjoo’s own trauma too. (That’s why he thinks to himself “if I let this kid drag me any further I won’t be able to get away” during the dream. The novel expresses the inner worlds of the characters unbelievably well. Like Taekjoo realizes there are times he’s genuinely having fun hanging out with Zhenya during their betting competitions and it makes him panic. He’s panicking at the fact that he adapted too fast and it can’t go on like this. Manhwa sadly shaved off too many moments that makes you feel what’s going on underneath. especially with Zhenya. We get criminally little to none about his character development so far.
But anyways, this is foreshadowing to what Zhenya’s innerworld was especially as a diabolically neglected toddler, and in the future one day Taekjoo will see a photo of real Zhenya as a child and will be shocked to realize he has been dreaming of exactly how he looked.

I wonder if Han is still battling with health issues or she had to rush things but there are too many drawing mistakes in this new chapter I’m surprised that were left in there. Style is inconsistent too..

Get rid of all the couches is a whole new level of petty I never thought would see XD

Ofcourse the manhwa has to make some cuts it’s nearly impossible to illustrate every single detail from the novel but the emotional impact isn’t the same.. Both the Novel and the Audio Drama spends more time on Zhenya’s freaking out, he slaps Taekjoo’s a couple times to wake him up, he is panting as he’s doing the chest compressions, his sweat droplets fall on Taekjoo’s face that’s when he realizes he’s stress-sweating. And he doesn’t leave until he hears a little exhale coming from Taekjoo’s mouth. The novel interprets Zhenya’s inner chaos to more “why you? Why are you different than everything I’ve ever known?” Whereas manhwa is more about “what’s wrong with me?” They’re not the same narrative:(

Han’s twitter says release dates are 1st, 11th and 21st. So I think we have 2 more days till the new chapter

It’s really bothering me the manhwa is making little changes that are changing the emotional impact of the scenes like some of the things Taekjoo thinks are supposed to be the things he say out loud.. in the novel Taekjoo gives a very sad smile at Zhenya and whispers “I feel so sorry for you” at his last breath. That’s what makes Zhenya loosen his grip. This event was also supposed to happen in the room Taekjoo was trying to switch to with Olga trying desparately to talk to him, walking along with Zhenya when he’s running after him with rage.

The manhwa pace has unbelievably slowed down compared to season 1. I hope we can actually cover the entire main story ;_; considering how majority of works finish somewhere around 100 chapters or so…
