That's a bit sad. The wife and mc weren't a bad couple. Just that bad times had torn them apart. I don't get that in the manhuas where if the past love interest is abusive and mean, they end up with the mc after reincarnation( thank you abandoned empress (╬￣皿￣)凸) but then in this case, they don't.
It's not necessarily bad that he ended up with haemi. They had a good chemistry and knew each other throughout their careers. Won't complain because there isn't much about the wife that we still don't know. The plot later may show her to be mean and selfish. Jinhyun may remember her fondly but it could just be lingering feelings and not her actual personality. Haemi is a good person...
But I was hoping for the other. So can't say I'm not a little disappointed.
