Not a typical manga at all, the lead characters are both morally grey for many reasons.

FL went through literal trauma. She married as a teen and dreamt of a pure and passionate love, yet during her first time she had to endure rough BDSM that she had no idea about, she said no multiple times and her husband kept going - she literally ended up getting raped and disassociating (from what I interpreted) during her first night. Imagine how traumatising it must’ve been for her innocent mind at the time.
Then she had to endure years of BDSM she doesn’t want to do, all while losing the only singular support system she had - which is the ML.
Trauma changes people. Yes she starts going “crazy”, but I felt it was a relevant response to everything she’s endured by herself…she had no one (apart from the one maid ig?)
FL has a hard time opening up her heart now due to the trauma, so she can’t “admit” she “loves” ML, but she feels good with him and goes with the flow in terms of that. I actually enjoyed the ending since it’s quite realistic and shows she’s still healing from all the trauma.

ML is just hot. lol. Yea he killed everyone in the end but I actually liked that LOOOL.
He’s willing to do anything for FL to protect and care for her, go into the deepest pits of hell all for FL. Also clearly ML has stronger seeds as FL fell pregnant with him when she couldn’t with her husband… the husband is shooting blanks AND can only get it up with BDSM? Yikes!

Although I’m NGL the cover sort of suggested to me that the husband would be kissing her feet eventually. I thought in the carriage when he was explaining his childhood to her and apologising, that was when the story would change and both brothers would be on their knees for her or something… so the fact that he didn’t change until the end made me feel that his death was fully justified… same with the father… guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree (￣∇￣")

I totally get uke not wanting to mix personal & online relationships, I’m the same way! Esp when you never know who is actually behind the account!
