Ueda : *very openly dates a guy*
Yamase : you are not gay right ?
Ueda : no i’m not
Me : wut ?
I totally agree with that, in real life i never want to put labels on people’s identities, on sexuality, gender. And that is a really good point to make. But in this situation it’s really not them asking if he labels himself and him responding that no he’s free... but more of A ‘please please tell me it’s just a phase and that you are straight and gonna marry a cute girl after this’ quinda question which irks me quite a bit. Especially since it’s something we see quite often in BL. ( ̄へ ̄)i would have loved to have him respond that he liked who he liked and that gender and sexuality don’t matter in the grand scheme of love. But alas T~T
Also i’m not mad or blaming the author at all. I love her very dearly and i bought the printed copies of her works to support her. Take my money gurl. And Ueda is like THE character who doesn’t judge and put labels. But i’m just kinda fed up with the situation where the BL protagonist (almost always the Seme cause you know he tops so he is still a man *eyeroll*) says that ‘yeah no he is straight don’tworry nothing to see here’ and then comes back home to fuck his boyfriend like dude...
No it’s not. It’s pressuring someone into having sex with you, in other words r*pe.
