isn't my cup of tea. Honestly this is not the first time I prefer good fan translation over the official one since they almost always stay very true to korean names and titles and so on (at least as far I can tell) I just don't understand why you would erase that from the translation. It is an enrichment to the work. If a work is from korea I want that to be reflected in the work and not have it erased as much as possible.
It's something happening with anime translations as well. No senpai or niichan or Sama anymore. Honorifics aren't added anymore. Same for K dramas and danmei novels and I honestly hate it so much. There is so much detail about relationship dynamics in Asia that are conveyed through honorifics and specific words for friends, family, strangers, etc that not adding it is such a loss.
Usually I am a total sucker for using as much words in the original language as possible, you know titles and so on but due to the novel I am so used to Mesani calling him my Lord (which is just too cute and honestly he could be drawn cuter as well imo :'(
