He crashed at the guys house, pretty much forced himself on him AND THEN had the audacity to take Shoma's medication away from him. Like who are you (Someone who genuinely has it all) to tell someone that they don't need the medication because its harmful for them? BITCH YOU DROPPED OUT OF SOCIETY BECAUSE YOU WERE AVOIDING HEART SURGERY??

Because you took away his medication, you forced him into a heat where you then put Shoma in a dangerous situation where he had no way of stopping his heat or a way to get home, had sex with him for a week, got him pregnant which then indirectly got him r*ped. I feel like Kanata did so much damage with some egotistical decision that he made about Shoma's body.

I am so glad that they are kind of speeding through the novel with these chapters because it is just such a anger inducing story. It literally just doesn't get better for Wen until the very fucking end & even that would be like up for debate. ( I will preface this with I still liked the book)

I get that Yansheng goes through an INSANE about of grief about what he did to Wen & really does make up for it a lot. (But he does this by genuinely stalking Wen for like a year after their divorce, granted to find out the truth of how they met, but still he does such low-key creepy things to this man).

But lets talk about the emotionally and PHYSICAL abuse Wen had to go through before the divorce & only to continually have to live through over & over again. He had his piano smashed, thrown into a dark basement, had multiple public gaslightings, watched his husband cheat on him publicly & was kidnapped and tortured for days.

Wen literally is driven to a point of attepting suicide because of his depression in the last 20 chapters of the main story. Wen is a smart man, he knows what is going on around him, but his will to go on is so low & he genuinely has such low confidence in himself & the people around him, because by the end, every single person had tricked him.

ALSO, what Yansheng does to Shen is fucking crazy. He literally has his half brother toture him in the basement of this compound that the Gu family owns by inflicting every single injury Wen endured & then puts him im prison to be brutily mudered. Reading this in the novel was insane to say the least.

In the end, this is a happy (I say this with a grain of salt) ending in the sense that the story is just so dark, that we would never get a fairy tale ending. Wen is stockholmed back into the relationship due to Yanshengs constant stalking. Wen is never given a chance to even try recovering from his abuse before receiving some other abuse. I genuinely believe that there is no way Wen could have been saved unless he was removed from this current circle of people & put in a new place for a new start. But because he was stuck where he was, its like watching high school friends marry their abusive boyfriend.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story & the side characters (Gu Lin & Tang Shou im looking at you) were great. The story is just so insane that I couldn't stop reading it.

Totallyy get theyre like still young, but I don't like the power dynamic in their relationship. There is too much insecurity between them. Hopefully they grow together

omg guys, I got caught up on Tapas & I cried, this shit is what I live for! Like FUCK JIMMY, we stay saying that in this house, BUT can we talk about how strong Myles is. Like we never get that in a Uke, they never stand up for themselves, whereas Myles stands up for himself & I can only appreciate that
