Is Helios falling in love with Hestia? Or seeing Hestia as wife material? Does he want someone like Hestia?
Im not 100% sure cuz I read this a while ago but im pretty sure he likes Hestia because she is more responsible and reliable than Diana and would prefer Hestia in Diana's role, but he still loves Diana.
He did because she was very capable as a partner, but he was sensible enough not to pursue nor confess it. Hestia did realize it too (after all she knows the character well to see the changes in behavior), but she got disgusted with that and just ignored it since she was too focused with Kael.

he marries another woman rather quickly, while choosing a woman Hestia recommends, and promptly falls in love with her and passionately (according to new wife) produces heirs. Helios is a passionate and virile man who is quick to love. His second wife seems more steadfast and so that passion doesn’t burn out as quickly as it did with Diana. The two families become close and Helios doesnt burn with any sort of regret for loosing Hestia long term.

after being posed with the choice, Diana is flummoxed and doesn’t know how to make such a life altering decision on her own so she thinks to herself Cael/Kael is great at decisions so after running into him she asks him for some time to chat. He is rightly like wtf is with this woman’s audacity, but he is already a father of two with one on the way (ends up a father of four, I think). So he discusses wether he should meet with her or not with Hestia who could less anymore because she was way too happy. So out of a probably healthy fear of Hestia, she chooses divorce. Interestingly, the life of an actual child seemingly played no role in the decision for either Diana or Helios.

anyone who has read the novel can you tell me if the wen clan killed any of the non cultivators I know theres the burning of the cloud recesses and the masacare of lotus pier but did they kill the people in the cities that were ya know jut chillin or did they kill the cultivators who where fighting against them?
